Now that the Adventurer's League Player Guide is out and we know all the guidelines for creating characters for the Organized Play program, what have you come up with? Miy AL character is the buccaneer Draavos from Zhentil Keep, Fang of the Zhentarim

I'm excited to actually play in the near future (I spend about 98% of my gametime as the DM, regardless of system).

I'm really excited about the sorcerer, and will likely be leaning towards the Zhentarim.  While I havent settled on a name, I'm pretty certain that I'll be using a 'defiler' sort of flair. Might even rave about Athas every now again, just because... wild magic.  Yeah, that's why. ;)

I played Living Forgotten Realms back when it just started. I had 7 characters in total, although I'm only looking to revive 5 of them (one was a Warforged a Cleric of Tempus which wouldn't be legal, one was a Druid I only played once). Their level ranges go from 1-11 and I'd like to start playing them at the appropriate level.

Thankfully I'll be DMing home games as well as D&D Encounters (currently DMing the Starter Set), so I'll be putting experience from these into my higher level characters.

To start with I'll be leveling up my dwarven fighter:

Orsik of Clan Frostsilver, Level 4 Shield Dwarven Fighter (LG)

Date of Birth:13 Tarsakh 1399 DR
Description:
Orsik has a bald head with an auburn beard and moustache. He wears blood-stained chainmail, with a warhammer always ready to smash those who would harm his clan..

Background:
Orsik Frostsilver spent his whole life in Eartheart. All he desired in life was to protect the city against drow incursions. However with several members of Clan Frostsilver traveling across Faerun, Orsik was inspired to leave Eartheart and join them. He gained permission to leave and hopes that his adventures abroad will make him a better fighter so he can fight the drow when they attack Eartheart once more.

He first traveled to Loudwater with Nestala and Mildrak when the town was attacked by goblins. They fought the goblins to their lair but were forced to leave or else face death. They did manage to open negotiations between the town and the humans of Loudwater to ensure peaceful trade. However this defeat still haunts him to this day.

From there he's traveled to Impiltur and even Sembia, helping those in need. Although not one to neglect his homeland, he is always available for Eartheart when needed. Nothing is as important as his clan and home.

Personality:
Orsik is interested in the world around him and extremely interested in treasure and magic items. He's unsure about how to behave as one of these adventurer-types, although is nice to most people. The only race sure to make angry are the despicable drow. Although his hatred for drow is blind and unreasoning.

He's always quick to relate a situation back to his past experiences and share his insights with other people.

I rolled up a high elf wizard with the smuggler background when the Basic Rules came out -- haven't named him yet, but his background has him working with the Zhentarim not because he agrees with their goals (he's Chaotic Good), but because they ask the fewest questions about the stuff he needs to get his hands on.

At some point though, I'm definitely rolling up a warlock of the Great Old One.
