| #1ZombieJAug 04, 2014 12:13:38 | Hello all!
I am moving to Atlanta in a couple days and I am debating going to Dragon*Con. I normally just go to conventions to play D&D, so I am a little disappointed that I can't find any info on what campaign RPG's will be available there. Does anyone know if the Adventurer's League will have a presence? Or even if there will be any LFR?
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!
Edit: After weeks of looking for info, another two minutes helped me find this rather obtuse hint that Dragon*Con will have D&D Next:
DDEX1-6 The Scroll Thief Designer: Daniel Helmick Characters of Level 1-4 Playtime: 4 hours Premiere: Dragon*Con, August 29 – September 1 Available: 9/22/2014
Scholars Square is a relatively quiet corner of Phlan, but a series of odd thefts have the headmasters of various schools in the area concerned. The headmasters’ pleas for help have gone unanswered by the Black Fist, and the Lord Sage of Phlan decides to reach out to you and your kind to bring those responsible to justice. A four-hour adventure for levels 1-4.
Dragon*Con is listed as premeiring something on the Adventurer's League website, though there still isn't any mention of this on the actual Dragon*Con website. Does anyone else have any more information?

I asked around among people who go more frequently and they said D*C usually delays until the last week to have everything ready, so we might not see event sign-ups then; in fact, they might be at the Con only - no pre-reg. |

hope to see ya there! |
| #4brooksgbanksAug 05, 2014 9:59:51 | Indeed, D&D Adventurers League content will be at Dragon Con this year. All of the DDEX and DDEP events that are appearing at GenCon, as well as a new DDEX event specifically for Dragon Con, will be available for play. Unfortunately, the content manager for our website did not get my 2014 updates posted to the front page, but gaming.dragoncon.org does have all of the events in the DB and tickets can be purchased there.
Tickets are limited due to difficulty in finding judges wanting to run a brand new system. With that, if anyone is planning to attend Dragon Con and is interested in running D&D Adventurers League events at the show, please shoot me an email (campaignrpgs@dragoncon.org).

I know that sounds greedy, but the reality is even if I wanted to go to Dragon*Con, it's really late in the game to figure out where I'm going to stay.

| #6ZombieJAug 05, 2014 15:14:34 | I had just decided that it was going to be too expensive when I saw the call for DM's on facebook. So I will be there! Maybe I'll get to DM your game. |
| #7brooksgbanksAug 05, 2014 19:34:34 | Unfortunately, the convention (regardless of how much I present business cases to the contrary) does not offer comped hotel rooms. And, yes, if you haven't made reservations, it's highly unlikely that you'll find a hotel room within 5 miles of the show. Although, there is a FB page dedicates to people needing to give up their rooms last minute and looking to transfer.
