#1 mykesfree Jan 02, 2015 15:00:43	So we know about the Elemental Books that will be out in March, but what do we think about the rest of the year.   I think we are going to get a big Book that will cover all D&D Campaign worlds.  It would be cool if it included all the unique races as well as the unique classes, spells, and magic items.   It could go into greater detail of each of the worlds and their major themes. Maybe a chapter on how a DM can make the world their own.  Basically a book for everyone who loves D&D.   Of course they could just go all Underdark on us as well, which for me, would be cool as well.   Anyone else want to give their 2 cps.   Myke

#3 BRJN Jan 03, 2015 12:23:56	the One True Book as you describe will also be about 500 pages thick.    Better to do two(?) campaign settings at a time, about as big as the 4e Eberron / Dark Sun / Forgotten Realms books were.  (Double the buying public per book.) The first book in the series should include material from the old World-Builder's Guide, for the audience that likes to homebrew / imagination.  Because... Later, after talking Hasbro into reserving appropriate funds for royalties, open a competition for the 5e Campaign Setting.  Contributors whose material is used can get paid.

There is no official release info on the Wizards site, nor are any of these books available for pre-order from Amazon or anywhere else.

Ps I disagree with 50 pages per world, however i think 200 pages per world I think is plenty. One of my favorite box sets of all time was the Dark Sun original set that included 2 96 page books (maps etc) and it was great.

#28 Throvin Jan 17, 2015 5:43:24	I would say one book per world. And that book does not have to be huge, but the content has to be like optimized. Enough information to give shape to the world, new spells and creatures, history of the world and of course, art & maps. The perfect setting book for me would be a lets say around 200page and the $$$ would not get so expensive. And if you want another setting, you buy another book. You get what you pay for, not paying more for extras. Why would I buy a Greyhawk + Planescape pack? Nope nope nope. I get hyped in a setting, I buy the setting and rest of my money to other things. If you give what people need, people will pay for it.
