The Feywild IS the best part of the 4E cosmology. I've been wanting to run a campaign centered around it since the start, but haven't been happy with the amount of content. There's the scant content in Manual of the Planes and that's about it.
So hopefully I can finally tell all those twisted faerie tales I've been planning, come late 2011 or early 2012.
however i think you may be disapointed it is clearly a players options book centered around (i presume) primal classes. and feywild compatable things, probably some wizard and sorcerer stuff as well
But I'm still more excited about the Feywild setting product. Finally something that helps D&D be THE classic fantasy role playing game. Not that the Abyss and places like that aren't related to classical fantasy material in their way, they're just... grating after a while. Like in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Everyone agreed that visiting Oblivion time after time was the lamest part of the game.
I think there's a bit of confusion here. There's Heroes of Feywild coming out at the end of the year, which for some reason that blogger hates (which makes me dislike the blog), and then there is the rumors that have kinda been confirmed but not really about a Feywild set similar to the Shadowfell set that's coming out late this year - a boxed set with a guide to the plane and ... well whatever else comes in the box. For some reason the blogger loves that idea ... but hates the idea of a book that gives players Feywild options ...
There isnt a Feywild boxset coming out this year, we know of eveything coming out this year, right now, and in actuality given what needs to take place for some of the items to come out, I think it quite possible that the December D&D item (Book of Vile Darkness) wont be seen this year. Myers says they are going to take more time on books, so now we have Heroes of Feywild which will have the fastest development cycle of any player book and you think they can still throw in an unannounced Feywild Boxset this year as well?
Doesn't mean we couldn't get a Feywild: Astrazalian and Beyond box set in Q1 of 2012.
Let's hope so anyway!!!

Well, I like the concept of mirror worlds; that's why Lorwyn/Shadowmoor is one of my favourite MtG blocks and what made me anticipate 4e after the cosmology has been first announced.
Classwise, I dont want to see alot of Mage stuff. However, as much as I dont, I would like to see specificly Eladrin mage/wizard support, not for a build but atleast powers/items/feats.
Their a race thats fluffed towards mages, and yet almost all their support and features makes them better swordsmen.

Sorcerer is not an Essentials class. Hence, no sorcerer stuff will be in that (or any other forthcoming) book.

... You need to reread my post again. Nowhere in my post did I say that the Feywild boxed set was coming this year. I said that there were rumors of an upcoming Feywild boxed set that would be like the Shadowfell box set which IS coming this year.
