Abyssal Genasi... ?

So, what do you guys think it is? I would guess it's simply a chain of feats to represent a more "demonic" type of Genasi, but I suppose it could be its own manifestation. All I know is, my player's Firesoul Dhampyr is going to be all over this thing...

I agree, although I feel its also possible it could simply be a set of feat chains for genasi only.

It's also possible we'll see backgrounds (almost guaranteed IMO) and possibly even a paragon path.

Well the cover art for the issue shows a normal fire soul genasi. Of course he does look very badass.  And he also seems to be creating a ball of anti-matter...

Theres also a Wizards Essentials article in the issue. The cover looks like an Orb Wizard. Thats what Id use it for, anyway. That Wizard picture rocks!

My guess is that this article won't change the fundamental nature of the genasi; that is, they'll still embody elemental power. 


The Abyss lies within the deepest reaches of Elemental Chaos.  So, genasi already have a tenuous connection to this plane within a plane, one just waiting to be 'deepened' via bloodline feats.
