it's not equipment forums yet since it hasn't been released =P i'll go first!

I want more non-versatile 1 handed weapons... us small characters get the shaft

Weapons of other types that are equivalent to the bastard sword. The 3.5 War Mace from Complete Warrior is a good example with it's 1-handed d12, along with the d10 dire pick in the superior weapon category.

Ring blade from soul calibur ~.^ i handed heavy blade that does 1d8... I wonder what new abilities for weapons will be in the adventurer's vault because the current stuff doesn't excite me.

Bladed whip from soul calibur also (though it cannot change to a sword) 1 handed reach weapon or probably 1d6. a normal whip i could see being a 1d4

Main gauche. They did mention that there'd be a new weapon for fencers, and rapiers have already been covered. (Main gauches differ from regular daggers in that they're designed to be more defensive, if knowledge serves.)

Or perhaps a two-handed light blade could get interesting (I miss the elven court sword), though I could see it being a little too good for rogues.

Firearms: From early gunpowder weapons to more modern firearms. Perhaps with alternative rules, powers, etc. for using firearms in your setting.

Trains, Planes and Automobiles: Well, not necessarily all of those, just lots and lots of different kinds of vehicles. Perhaps with in-depth rules for things like chases on horseback, etc.

Lots and Lots of Non-Magical Weapons: Lets see lots of more advance weaponry that isn't better because of magic, but because of some device, method of forging, etc.

For specific weapons:

-Main Gauche
-Side Sword
-Sword Catchers

The lack of a trident in PHB made me sad, hopefully AV will rectify this. And unless the martial power book is going to fix the melee ranger multiclass I think there needs to be an offhand heavy blade.

Ahh yes x.x I want the trident as well!

A 2 handed light blade would be wonderful, also. That elven court sword sounds familiar... what book?

At least i know we will be getting the two bladed sword since they weren't smart enough to see one in a preview picture =)

I really want a whole lot of basic weapons.

I also want this one weapon.... no idea what it's called...

It's the weapon you see the main undead jackal man from the mummy returns wield. It looks like this...

I think it might be late to be assembling a wish list with any hope of Wizards' staff be able to act upon it.

The weapon that this guy is wielding is something I'd like to see in the AV.

Nothing broken or unbalanced is my desire. It'd also be nice if they didn't obsolete any powers.

Grrrr the more I find out about stuff I didn't know before in the PHB the more TICKED OFF I get.

I find out about the "small" property. I didn't even know about this despite having the book since it came out. I guess it's easy to overlook when ONE SINGLE WEAPON HAS THE PROPERTY!

But thats only partially this complaint/wish. I look and small characters can't even wield CROSSBOWS!

Oh they can hold hand crossbows just fine in one hand. But for some reason they applied the 2 handed martial weapon theology to the lowly simple crossbow and now the gnome or goblin or halfling or kobold can't even wield it anymore :\

I'm really getting ticked off. Where can I ask a dev about this BS?

So yeah thats my next wish. More "small" property weapons and somehow give those small races the dang crossbow for crying out loud!

It is actually really easy to make "small" versions of weapons. Simply use the damage increase for larger sizes on page 220 but in reverse.

@Orion: That's the same weapon Fox was talking about.
@Fox: How much would you pay for it?

......... i don't know how to answer this question so....

You realize if you reduced the damage die to a D6 that would put you into hand crossbow territory which is one handed and which small characters can already use, right? O_o so making the crossbow a die smaller would be a VERY MOOT point.

Sling Shot?
More skill equipment, ala Lock picks
Rod of Wonders
DoMT (and variants?)

ARTIFACTS !

Does anyone know if Adventurer's Vault will contain stats for more artifacts?

I'm thinking no since items were in the PHB and artifacts were in the DMG... isn't this being marketed as a player's accessory?

Whatever we don't get this time, in AV, will have a good chance of being in Adventurer's Vault 2.

Trident
More skill equipment, ala Lock picks

I second the trident!

And as for lock picks, it's already covered in the PHB...

Thieves’ Tools: To use the Thievery skill properly,
you need the right picks and pries, skeleton keys,
clamps, and so on. Thieves’ tools grant a +2 bonus to
Thievery checks to open a lock or to disarm a trap.

I agree on the "skill equipment", though. With the exception of Thieve's Tools and the Climiber's Kit, there isn't much in the way of skill-enhancing equipment. Even something simple as a Healer's/First Aid kit (+2 to Heal checks) would be great!

PERSONALLY, I'd like to see the return of a Ring of Protection, though I'm not holding my breath...

I thought rings of protection (along with similar AC boosting items such as the amulet of natural armor) were removed from the game (or changed) to help avoid the Christmas tree effect?

The Ring of Protection was already in the 4E PHB:

What else do you want? (Sure, the +X rings of old went away, but they're not coming back for the same reasons the +X shield isn't.)

Huh...so it is!

I guess I just kinda skipped over the rings since the lowest level ring is 14th level.

And yeah, I was kinda hoping there'd be a +x to AC item, like the old version of the Ring of Protection, but like I said, I'm "not holding my breath" about it. I know they changed the system up and did away with stuff like ability-increasing and AC-boosting items, but that doesn't mean people might not still WANT them.

As for this version of the Ring of Protection, I'd say it's not bad. That +1 to saves is pretty buff, and SHOULD stack with other "non-item bonus" saving throw bonuses, and the daily power gives you some semblance of the traditional Ring of Protection (immediate interrupt, +2 to any one defense), albiet only 1/day.

I wonder how much a similar ring would cost with ONLY the daily power?

I need "The Robe Of Useful Items2 Look it up in your 3.5 DMG, basically its a robe that you pull useful stuff off of. You rip off a patch throw it on the flor and BANG! you've got a rowboat, or riding dogs etc. Its AWESOME:D
