"Arcane power", or "pew pewing people with pew pews" (they're the same thing, just different levels of awesome), a concept discovered a few thousand years ago by acolytes, is a latent ability that is present in all sentient beings that are capable of fine manipulation, and it is no more supernatural or inexplicable than martial abilities. Sure, there is still strong skepticism about its existence, and I myself was a skeptic for a while, but that was an attitude that I couldn't uphold when I had discovered a strong vibrating sensation inside my hands while pew pewing bunnies.
That's not to say that arcane skill is very similar to martial. The movies where Moses single handedly takes out an entire enemy army or Merlin chops giants apart are extreme exaggerations. Arcane skill is practiced for improved combat ability, the application of violence, in combat, and cannot be projected outside the body without the aid of a pew pewing decive (also known as an implement). Arcane skill is simply an alternative source from where a warrior can draw power, as you can see from the soldiers who can demolish an entire bunker with just one pew pew.
I don't think Arcane should be a power source. Arcane training is simply a weapon, and is not the application in itself. Calling a power source "arcane" is akin to saying that Regdar the Fighter uses the "slashy" power source. Pew pews don't shoot by themselves. We have to move them with our pew pewing. In 3.5e, the pew pew Sorcerer was closer to an Arcane-user than the wizard, and the development team should look back at that when doing the Warlock for 4e.
I understand that D&D is a fantasy game and needs not be an accurate depiction of what RL pew pewers do, but my fantasy warlock is the buff guy in armor with a high strength score because he doesn't need brain power to pew pew someone's back.
Bottom line, warlocks cannot be classified as benefiting from one single power source.

I didn't think this was funny when someone did it YESTERDAY. So 0/10 for copycatting something that wasn't funny in the first place. Isn't their some useful discussion on power sources to be had, rather than parading out some tired meme>?

Meh... You make a valid point about it, but the truth is that this kind of satire -- and much, much worse -- is par for the course on the internet. It may not be as funny (to you) the second time around, but it's pretty small beans compared to some of the stupidity out there.
Anyway, I'm not trying to convince you of anything, AC, so much as I'm trying to point out to you that this isn't funny enough to stick around more than a few days anyway. It's already dying, and if you leave it alone, it will be gone before you know it.
