Artwork looks cool and seems like it might be more combat oriented than the last few. Hope they continue to offer them for sale to the public.
Is this going to be PDF only?
No it should be paperback like the other Sundering adventures.
Still nothing on Amazon or any other retail site about preordering it.
Im afraid to even ask what level this is will begin at. My group has been playing GoDC since Gen Con and will be mostly likely level 10 IF they survive. If this is supposedly a continuation of that adventure, then what sense would it make to start over at 1st level?

This consumer is happy that I can now buy the adventures and that they've been tied to some cool setting materials. Hopefully, that continues with the PDFs.

I don't know how many books I have on my ultra-light laptop, but I am sure it is over 1,000. You just can't carry that many books with you. I take that laptop with me where ever I go. I have my entire digital library with me at all times. I even have my campaign notes on it as well. Printed books are so prior century. 
Seems like some people will complain about any changes to Encounters unless it goes back to exactly the way it was Pre-Baldur's Gate and since that's not ever going to happen WOTC is a no-win situation with a very vocal minority. Personally I'm just happy for new content and fun adventures to run with my friends.
In this ICv2 article, it is reported that "retailers that run Scourge of the Sword Coast will receive, along with the Game Day materials, instructions on how to download the adventure at no charge."

Schedule D&D Encounters – Scourge of the Sword Coast and Launch Weekend by Tuesday, January 7and make your store the destination for play of the third adventure of the Sundering, a major event in the Forgotten Realms!
Stores that schedule D&D Encounters – Scourge of the Sword Coast will be provided with a complementary download of the adventure via dndclassics.com. This download is available for a limited time, expiring on February 18. It's important to note that the Scourge of the Sword Coast adventure will only be available via download. A PDF containing a subset of the D&D Next playtest rules needed to play the adventure will be included, though Scourge of the Sword Coast can be played with any D&D rules set.
Instructions for accessing the complementary download will be emailed to each participating store at least 10 days prior to the Scourge of the Sword Coast Launch Weekend so that DMs have time to prepare for the start of the season.

Thanks Plague for the link. Nice to see that the was posted one day prior to the sign up deadline they had stated. I'm hoping my local store already registered and if not that Wizards will give a little wiggle room.
