But a Laser that can actually scortch/burn flesh will only cause temperary blindness? That is a mistake IMHO. The game should maim and powers and technology should heal.

And if that technology is not available, or the PCs can't figure it out, then that character is now permanently gimped. Save Ends is just fine. Don't think of it as 'I got a laser in the eyes', think of it as 'holy crap these things are bright, my eyes need to adjust'.

That kind of effect should be noted in the THEME, not a blanket for all characters. IMHO

I tryed to post a question on the FAQ, but it wasn't accepted.
