Does anyone have any idea if there will be a novel encompassing the time between the Forgotten Realms Avatar Trilogy novel "The Trial of Cyric the Mad" and what has transpired since then (1385 DR)? What I mean is, does anyone know if any writer will be writing a book on the events leading up to and dealing with all that transpired during the Spellplague? (I don't want to ruin things if there is anyone out there that isn't aware of the changes to Dungeons & Dragons- namely, the changes involving the Forgotten Realms).

The Empyrean Odyssey trilogy deals with these events. However it's written about a group of plane hopping mortals living through these events, the deities themselves only appear on the periphery (although their angels have more stage time). The trilogy ends shortly after the act that started the spell-plague.

There are also some other books with some short flashbacks to the time during and shortly after the spell-plague, but the general directive was that there would be no novels dedicated to bygone years, as novels would focus on the current time
