According to the April Editorial Calendar, Arcane Power hits the 14th (which is great.) However Amazon still lists it as the 21st. So is that an error with the Calendar or (as I hope) an error at Amazon?

A week sooner = awesome :D

I have a feeling that the 14th is the date they ship it out and the 21rst is the still the release date.

Shush.. I don't want to hear 'ships on the 14th, released on the 21st.' I want to hear 'released on the 14th!'

I think it is, as every other book has had the release date the same as the editorial calender date, as far as I can remember. The PHB2 came out the day it was listed, so I do hope it's 2 weeks of wait, not 3 weeks, for AP. :D

While I really hope Arcane Power is out the 14th (and the calendar says it is), I've checked Borders, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Buy.com, and they all list the 21st as the release date. Curse you WotC for tempting us with false hope on your editorial calendar.

I will note, that shipped on the 14th, will mean people who preorder the book, will get it BEFORE the 21st release date. It's happened with every other book to date, so I'd not worry about this one being any different.

All the online places I've checked are still listing as shipping the 21st (even though they will probably ship a day or two earlier). But WotC is now listing the 14th as the release date. So either WotC messed up the calendar (no surprise there) or they decided not to tell online retailers that they changed the release date.

I'm pretty sure it really is going to be released the 14th. Why they moved it, I don't know. But they've already altered the Editorial Calendar once this month, to change the PH3 Playtest: Dual-classing to PH3 Playtest: Hybrid Classes.

If the release listing was a mistake, they would have fixed it too.

I thought it was always the third tuesday (aka march 17, feb 17, april 21)

Maybe they decided to move it forward because of March ending on a tuesday. Making us wait a whole week longer just because the stupid month ended a single day too late would be too gruel :D

It sucks that I have to wait two weeks for the Character Builder to be updated.

That's where the advantage of actually buying it comes in.

Looks like WotC finally got around to fixing their mistake on the editorial calendar. Looks like Arcane Power is coming out April 21, not April 14. Thanks WotC for tempting us. Grr...

Now that WotC has fixed the editorial calendar you only have to wait one week, this is cause for celebration is it not? *note heavy sarcasm*

Well other than the fact that if you manage your characters through the CB you still have to wait for the update before you can use the material in your printed copy inside the application. I buy all the print books but the CB updates are nice so that I can then use the books on new/existing characters inside the CB.

In the meantime why don't we talk about what we hope is in the book? I'm hoping that there will be alternative at-wills for the pacts a warlock has and not just a new pact. Though what I think we'd all like to see, or not see if you don't like the Expertise feats, is a version of the Weapon/Implement Expertise feat at paragon or even epic tier that covers melee and implement attacks with an implement that can be used in melee. It'd have "Special: This feat does not stack with Weapon Expertise or Implement Expertise" for balance of course. But I'm betting we'll have to wait until Players Handbook 3 before we MIGHT get such a feat. What I'm looking forward to the most though would be epic destinies. What do you guys say?

Personally the epic destinies and familiars are what I want the most, Vestige pact is up there too though (the 3.5 ToM binder is one of the few 3.x things I like)

I have already purchased Arcane Power from an internet shop. It has shipped, and will arrive at my place on the 14th. Is that the way it's supposed to work, or is this early?
