| #1flammablecat_dupMar 02, 2009 15:33:55 | Does anyone else think that the Avenger could turn out to be a striker Swordmage? Since the Avenger uses melee weapon as implement, has high mobility (some teleports), not heavy armor. Oath of Emnity (havn't read much on it) seems to be sort of similar to Aegis of Assault. The Swordmage's minion killing abilities and AOE is swapped for single target dmg. Any thoughts? |

Using hammers he might get a weapon doubling as an implement pretty early, but with heavy blades it's long wait (and axes aren't possible at the moment IIRC) |
| #3wizardmonMar 02, 2009 15:37:09 | Similarities, I do see them. Definitely more overtly magical than the Paladin, if you ask me. Except, they use holy symbols as Implements, I do beleive. That being said, I think just a bit of flavor/crunch switching, and the divine Avenger could easily become an arcane Duskblade (Swordmage, but striker.) |
