#1 leliel Jan 29, 2009 18:47:09	Yeah, I know, I know-we haven't even gotten to Sigil and the Astral Sea yet, let alone other parts of the World Axis. However, dream lands-such as those in Lovecraft, Sandman, and the Neverending Story-are pretty important in fantasy literature, and frankly, I just had an idea where the PCs are humans from our world sucked into a D&D style fantasy created from dream. So... Do you think we'll be seeing a soucebook on the Dream Plane?

#5 Belorin Jan 29, 2009 19:53:55	If wizards folllows its present course then some of those planes from earlier editions might make a return in MoP 2. You'd get the plane of Dreams, Time, Mirrors and others I can't remember at the moment. Bel

But you get to set them yourself. At least if you know how. Lucid dreaming is actually a good technique for any DM (or author) to learn, since it's a good way to practice world-building.
#11 Belorin Jan 30, 2009 7:53:25	From DDXP 2; December 2009 will see the Plane Below, a follow-up to MotP focusing on the Elemental Chaos, so this would legitimize the idea of a Feywild, Shadowfell, Astral Sea series of books and maybe a Other Planes for Dream, etc. Radio Free Hommet DDXP 2 It's almost all the way to the end. #12 Shemeska_the_Marauder Jan 30, 2009 23:15:12	I would suggest looking at earlier edition material for stuff on the Plane of Dreams, but there hasn't ever been much detail given to it in any edition. There was some nice material in the 2e 'Guide to the Ethereal' (by Bruce Cordell), and it was also discussed in the 3e MotP. However the latter book doesn't expand much, and largely is a copy/paste of the 2e material as far as specific dreamscapes go. And in a blatant self-plug here since I wrote it, there will be a Dimension of Dreams in Paizo's The Great Beyond: A Guide to the Multiverse coming out a little later this year. Not 4e, but useful flavor for anyone looking to use such a place, and tons of other planar fluff.
#13 KoboldAvenger Jan 31, 2009 0:55:11	Bruce Cordell wrote a really good sample dreamscape back in 2e's Guide to the Ethereal called Anavree which did appear in the 3e MotP. It should at least make an appearance again in 4e, even if it's just DDI article. Of course now I want to see the station around Leiceister's Gap (to the Far Realm).

Leiceister's Gap is the most evocative thing that Cordell has ever written. That was an awesome bit of writing. I adore his 2e era work (not so much the late 3e and 4e work though).
#15 Luis_Carlos Jan 31, 2009 7:29:59	There was rules about dream plane in "heroes of horror". Why? The dream plane can be the nightmare plane too. I miss the planeof mirror. Will we see the return of Nerra (Fiend Folio), rulers of plane of mirrors?
#16 twinbahamut Jan 31, 2009 17:43:49	In my opinion, a Plane of Dreams should stand right alongside the Feywild and Shadowfell as one of the major planes of the cosmology, so I would love to see some more detail on it. I suppose I don't really need a lot of detail, but it would still be good to see it in the game. Having a fleshed-out core Plane of Dreams would really help Eberron, too. Dal Quor is one of the most important planes in that setting, but it is the one that is the least similar to a core plane, making it a bit harder to really work with. Also, I wouldn't mind seeing Quori showing up in a Monster Manual. I wonder if it is possible that we would see new kinds of planes show up in another DMG?
