Alright, so we know now that Martial power will feature the "Tempest" build option for Fighters, and the "Beastmaster" build option for Rangers. So, what other extra build options do you think there will be? Let's not limit this discussion to Martial Characters. Here are a few of my ideas:

Warlord: Wise Warlord. Not sure exactly how it would work, but it would have the symmetry of STR + Mental stat as main and secondary stats.

Paladin: Cavalier. This seems like it would be a good way to bring back the Paladin's iconic Astral Mount feature.

Warlock: Some pact based on CON. Right now, the balance is Infernal and some Star vs. Fey, Dark, and even more Star than Infernal. Hopefully Arcane Power will change that.

Any other ideas?

Warlord: Some option for supporting ranged characters or spellcasters better

Paladin: Caliviler, more specific options ofr paladins worshiping gods of different alignments, a base line support build

Warlock: Demon Pact ( Con baised, pets!) Dragon Pact

Cleric: Death Pact ( Possible Necromancy baised), Archery, Ur-Priest

Fighter: Ranged Fighter, Unarmed Fighter, Reach Fighter, Throwing Fighter

Rogue: Crossbow Sniper, Mystic Rogue, Spelltheif, Great-weapon rogue

Wizard: Firmiliar Impliment, Dagger Impliment, Tome Impliment

Artificer: Melee baised Artificer, Gunpowder baised Artificer, Trap Baised Artificer, Golem Baised

Ranger: Two-Handed Weapon build. Rangers are the masters of fighting styles, so if there's going to be a martial striker that uses two-handed weapons, Rangers should get that option. I don't see this being too difficult to implement either...

Rogue: more Rogue Tactics options. More specifically, we need an INT-based tactic. The cunning, clever rogue is just as iconic as the brutal or charismatic rogue, and it's be cool to have an option that makes INT something other than a dump stat for the Rogue.

Warlock: Duh, more Pacts! I'm looking forward to some kind of grave-pact, something dealing with necromancy and the undead, probably using CON. I also can't shake the idea of a Genie-pact, probably using CHA, because that would be awesome.

Warlord: More Commanding Presence options. More specifically, I'm looking for a WIS-based one, but I also think they could make multiple different Commanding Presence options per mental stat. A second CHA- or INT-using presence would be great.

Wizard: More Implement Mastery options. Scepters, Spellbooks, Voodoo Dolls, and so on. I look forward to one that makes me want to make a Wizard with a good CHA score.

Cleric and Paladin seem not to have much room in their class features to allow for more builds than they currently have. Even though people insist on more build options for the Fighter for being characters other than melee, I don't see this happening, and in fact, I hope it doesn't, because I don't think it could work well at all; besides, half the time people want that, they don't realize that what they want could be done much better with another class anyways.

Warlock: I'd say future pacts will include Primordial (a second CON-based pact), Shadow/Death, and Vestige.

Rogue: There might be an INT-oriented build (clever trickster?) to supplement the current STR/DEX and CHA builds. There might also be feats/paragon paths which expand the weapon choices available for sneak attack (treating longswords/scimitars as light blades, club/sap options, bow sharpshooting).

Cleric: Future builds may include more specific and flavorful spells for non-traditional deities, such as more unique options for evil clerics.

Wizard: Future implements, if they are included, may include familiars and tomes(unless this evolved into the spellbook). Spell types which may be (re)introduced may include illusion and conjuration/summoning.

Fighter: Other than the aforementioned tempest build, there might be a mounted/charging build (unless this is given to the paladin), as well as powers/weapon feats which expand on underutilized weapon types such as picks.

Other possible options might be feats which allow other arcane classes (such as warlocks, swordmages, bards, and sorcerers) to use one or two cantrips from the wizard list. That is, unless sorcerers and bards get similar options of their own.

Fighter: Ranged Fighter

Why do people keep bringing this one up in these types of threads? "Go on ahead, I'll defend you from back here."

Swordmage: Unarmed Build, Non-Blade build

You didn't notice the word "sword" in their name did you? Though I'll give you this one as it's not nearly as ridiculous as the ranged fighter.

They already can mark with any sort of attack, including ranged attacks, or multiclass attack powers from other classes. Therefore all that's needed are some more options on what to do with opponents that are marked at range through combat challenge. This could be through new powers, or through a multiclass feat or option that has better synergy with a ranged combat challenge.

Ranged fighter i think would either be too powerful (as enemies have to go through everyone else to get to you, provoking tons of OA's) or too crappy (they just attack your friends).

The PHB outlines them as frontline tanks, archer isnt a front line tank. Fighter's are about melee, they can already use 2-handers and 1-handers to effictiveness, and are getting dual-wielding soon. If you want a ranged fighter, multi-class.
