With the format of 2 Books and 1 Adventure for settings in 4e, the Boxed Set could work quite nicely with such a format. Once all books are released they could come out with a Boxed Set either with just the normal amount of stuff or come with additional maps, custom DM Screen (art perhaps things like ticket costs for Eberron one for Airships, etc.). I think this could work quite nicely, what do you think. |

A special DM screen would be a nice addition as well. |
| #3ArtifactAug 04, 2009 11:24:07 | I miss boxed sets. They always seemed to have nice, poster-sized maps, player handouts. The Basic D&D starter set came with dice, Expert with an Isle of Dread adventure, and the old gray Forgotten Realms box had see-thru hexagon overlays. The revised Dark Sun setting for 2nd edition had a full-size cloth map. Fun stuff ;). If they were to start producing boxed sets again I'd snatch 'em up in a fit of nostalgia, no matter what they were about. Heck, at this point, I'd even buy an update of 'Elminster's Ecologies' :P. |
