| #3koiJul 28, 2010 4:44:40 | I play a wide variety of characters and have DM'ed. With that being said, I like to keep certain kinds of characters simple. Playing a role-playing game should make the player happy and motivated at the same time. I won't be happy and motivated at the same time if characters get everything quickly or if my character can't be as simple as I would like. When i say "simple" i mean the ability to stereotype the character easily. I realize that some players only want the most powerful character in the universe and they lose all their motivation when that is not achieved, but there is no "all-powerful god/goddess" character class and I hope it stays that way. The main thing to make me happy is just the character creation process itself. I want to be able to pick and choose abilities that I have envisioned my character having. |
