I mean I admit they don't have the best tech department in the world, but you honestly think that guessing a html address is the only security measure that they employ? Really? That is quite a lack of faith you have there in WotC, which is quite silly when you could easily log out, try to go to that address, and then discover that you can't visit the article! Holy fudge they actually have post-1990 security measures to prevent non-subscribers from getting to the articles! -_-

Look, I had no idea whether it allows a non-subscriber or not to access it – it seems more like that link is only shown to subscribers, and if you can guess the html, you'd get it regardless. I can't test that theory because I'm a subscriber.

Could just be something screwy about the settings on my browser, but I actually can't log off, and haven't been able to since around the time WotC update the format of the main D&D homepage. Not that I mind for the most part, it's convenient not to have to enter my password every time I go to download an article, though unfortunately I still have to log in when using the Compendium which would be even more convenient to be perma-logged.

Actually, I have the same situation, so that really didn't help my lack of desire to test that experiment.
That said, I like the controller-esque powers, but really, this doesn't change the fact the Ranger is a striker any more than Blazing Starfall does for the Sorcerer.
My only concern is that the Seeker seems less exciting now, considering that the Ranger can both strike hard and control.

Maybe, but I disagree that rangers gained any hard-control. As I see it rangers are still only soft-controllers at best, lacking the kinds of powers needed to be a full controller. Also seekers aren't just controller archers, they are more importantly mystical archers, and no amount of controller-like effects can make the ranger into that, not and still be true to the martial power source.
