I'm not sure where to ask this, but has there been any word, hint, wink, or suggestion of when or if the nes class options, such as Arena Fighter, will have hybrid options?

No indication that I'm aware of. [personal opinion] And honestly I wouldn't hold my breath on them being releasedanytime soon(or really even at all). I don't think they are really supporting hybrids much anymore. Maybe when they print a book that reprints hybrid options for Essentials players, we might see further support for hybrid optins, but until then I think support for hybrids is basicalyl dead.[/personal opinion]

i hope and pray you are wrong about that bc hybrids are one of my favorite things about the game. unfortunately, they seem adverse to the dumbed down simplistic style of the new classes, where less choice and more railroaded class design seems all the rage

I would be very surprised if there was Essential Hybrids. To me this idea goes against the format of Essentials.

If you would like to use a Hybrid in Dark Sun just use the regular rules from the PH3. I have built a whole bunch of Dark Sun hybrids just out of boredom. (all using the Players Handbooks and Power Source books of course)

Tempest Fighter/Rogue with the Nomad theme or Human Ranger/Tempest with the Gladiator theme are so far my favorite. But out of curiousity I have built Warlord/Monks, Warlord/Battleragers, Ranger/Rogues, Ranger/Wardens etc. As you can tell they are mostly Martial Powered classes, I would like to try a few more Psionic Powered hybrid mix classes, but for the most part this is completely doable.

I dont expect to see any Essentials Hybrid rules nor do I see the Darksun options added as Hybrids either.

I havent purchased DS but it is on the to do list after the beginning of the year. I am curious what was introduced that is well appropriate to present as a hybrid. Are there new classes or class builds with new features that could be made selectable to a hybrid?
