DM Screen?

Aug 12, 2009 17:53:48 So I heard the DM Screen wasn't all that great for 4e. Does anyone know if WotC is making a new one? I went looking for it this week and found no place local has it (and a few online shops are either missing it or it's crazy expensive).

Try Border's maybe they can ship it to you. I know my local Border's has a Dm screen, but I live on Maui in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

I wouldn't know, as I don't have it I'm just going by hearsay and that there were some errors on the screen. I'm just looking for one to use ;)

I realize that, I was just giving my opinion on the Dm screen. Good luck finding one, I think it's worth the paying for.:D

Oh yeah. Errata is available lust print it up and tape it to the screen.

Aug 12, 2009 18:41:08 The skill challenges DCs are wrong, because the whole concept was errataed after the screen came out.

Other than that it is a great screen. Pretty, short enough to still see the table and quite solid.

Aug 12, 2009 19:12:38 Even then the numbers on the screen work they're just on the unforgiving side. I don't even really remember, but I think the errata is basically "drop everything by 5".

Overall I've been very pleased with the 4e Screen. It's actually pretty handy even for just doing some basic prep work where you need some of the tables handy, like XP and such.

A lot is minor, and some things just "extra" and not fixes, but note the collection in the unofficial errata for panel 3.

It is a very well constructed screen though, and has nice art.

Wooo! It was a great screen design and I'd only held off on buying it because of the many, many errors.

Will there be an easy way to tell the (errataed) reprint from the defective first print without having to open the packet? I'd hate to accidentally buy an old one if there's a new one available.

Aug 12, 2009 22:32:29 I've got one, it's useful, if it's being reprinted with the errata that's good. One thing I have changed though if I've pasted the monster knowledge table over the experience table. I never used the experience table mid-session.
