Is it my imagination, but I remember when 4th ed first came out and I first joined insider, there was the promise of a dungeon builder.

What has happened to this feature that I subsribed to Insider in anticipation for?

There's one somewhere on the site, but it's not directly linked...

Search the threads there's some links somewhere...

Basically the entire DDi got derailed early on. They started over. Twice. Now they've got an online only character builder, an online compendium, a couple of declining magazines. They have a VT on the way because they outsourced it, and supposedly an online only monster builder, but that' another wait and see prospect...

as a beta tester of the VT, I can tell you I have used it to quickly plan out dungeons for my in real life game.

on the otherhand Masterplan is still my go to work space...

I'm in the beta too. The best that can be said is "its simplicity is unrivaled!". Its quick and easy to get into and use, of course doing anything but a scheduled game is all but impossible. I looked for a pick-up game for 8 hours the other day and didn't get a hit. (one player offered to play, but I was looking to play too so that didn't work out)

From what I heard, 1,600 people are testing the Beta VT. It might be difficult now to do a pick up. Maybe when all the DDI members can access the VT it will be easier.

A rating system for players and DMs might be a good idea. To avoid VTrolls and lazy DMs.

Hey... There is no avoiding me...

^  This.  Duke Nukem Forever is slated for a 2011 release now.  @_@

VT should be out to the Insiders sometime this year too.
