So, This summer Wizards will get back into releasing miniatures with the Dungeon Command game. These are non random packs of twelve miniatures each. The first three to be released are a heroes set, a drow set, and goblins.

What three sets would you like released after those? I would like to see:

Defenders of the feywild.
This would have pixies and satyrs usable as PCs, along with dire animals, treants, displacer beasts or similar creatures.

March of Undead.
Skeletons, zombies, ghouls and hopefully a new lich sculpt. I know this is thematically similar to Castle Ravenloft, but I want a way to get lots of zombies without getting three per $70 boardgame.

Dark cultists.
Foul humans and their monstrous / demonic minions. This one could really have some weird abberations, maybe things they've never made before.

What are your three?

1. Orcs
2. Goblins
3. Dwarves

I'm curious about the game, but I mostly want these for my D&D games.

No, the goblin set has been shelved for now. WotC is only releasing two sets at the start: Drow and Cormyr (humans?). This was announced at the D&D XP show. My guess is they're testing the response before they jump in head first with the new system.

I really want goblins so I put them on my list.

Really, I want a variety of race/class/gender combos to use as PC miniatures.

Can't say fairer than that.  Ideally, a few female minis that aren't dressed in the most ridiculous armoured bikinis possible.  Seriously, is there a mini designer out there who has ever made a female mini without giant breasts and cleavage you could lose a battleship in?

1) Undead
2) Orcs
3) Lizardfolks

I love the idea of the 12 miniature set packs. Especially if they put a Commander type in each box. My ideal breakdown would look something like:

1 x Commander
2 x Officers
2 x Specialists or Interesting Complimentary creatures.
3 x Ranged or Regular Infantry
4 x Minions

The Human Cleric of Bane is the only female I can think of who wasn't of the "chicks in chainmail" variety. There's probably more, but not many. I'd like to see females who are more fully figured. The only ones currently are dwarves (like the Dwarf Beguiler from Lords of Madness).

Definitely a Feywild set.  They could use the existing Satyr, Black Woods Dryad, Treant and the like, and add in new sculpts for Pixie, Bog Hag, etc.

Well, there are a few, but none of them are currently working for WotC, lol. Both Sandra Garrity and Julie Guthrie are known for their somewhat more realistic female proportions. (As opposed to, say, Werner Klocke, who's the reason why "klockenbooty" is a searchable term in the Reaper Figure Finder...)

1. Feywild - Include at least one of each of the Fey Beast Tamer creatures that don't have a good mini to represent them in a medium sculpt as well as a pixie and a satyr, the rest can be monstrous stuff.
2. Elemental - Probably the only way to get more Genasi. I REALLY want more Genasi. Specifically a Cindersoul Warlord with a longspear.
3. Kobolds, Dragonborn, and Lizardfolk - Some variety of lizardy type creatures including those three.
4.* If golbins were scrapped, they need to be #1.

The first two would be staples---

1. Undead- Skeletons & Zombies
2. Orc set

The third-

3. More PC miniatures with an odd Wilden or Deva thrown in.

Don't tease me. I know there will never be a Wilden. IF there is then the moon will explode.

Be careful, I said the same thing about Runepriest support and then there it was, an article about Runepriests. You wouldn't believe what happened next....

Could you please point to the chainmail bikini?

What there IS, though, is a shortage of female rangers, clerics, and rogues, and a shortage of females in races other than human or elf.

Bottom left ;)

Though, I grant you, there are a few mildly less ridiculous minis in there, and even a few fairly realistically-armoured ones.

I don't want anymore goblins, orcs, skeletons, zombies, human warriors, elfs, dwarves, wolfs, or gnolls. I have literally hundres of them from DDM. Let's see some rarer monsters that haven't been in official D&D miniature form yet.

No, the Shan-Zi of Kara-tur article.

But even then, it's not really enough.  What the Runepriest needs is scads of new powers, and some non-Rune feats.

Sets for different campaign settings.

2 sets of Forgotten Realms, one with Elminster and Friends (with benefits ;) ) and one with Driz'zt 'N' The Gang,

Set of Eberron (I'd like 2 sets, but I'm being realistic), set of Dark Sun, set of Dragonlance heroes, maybe a Ravenloft too. The last one could sell well without people knowing the IP, 'cause Strahd + Flesh Golem + Mummy = ch-ching!

"Every PC race we haven't already made minis to represent." This set would contain a model for every PC race in 4e that doesn't have at least one miniature to represent it.

Baba Yaga's hut. Yes please.

Gelatinous Cubes.  An entire set of Gelatinous Cube minis. Includes tiny-sized "Gelatinous Cube Familiar", and "Familiar Mount Gelatinous Cube" w/ saddle.

I would like to see a monster mix.  Like make a 12 pack of popular monsters that you could use in any dungeon or campaign.  But if I had to shoce it would be.

Orc
Giants
Dragon set

Of course you should also have a straight undead set as well.  We all love the undead that can fit into most any campaign setting.

THIS!  What a great idea. It would be easy enough to do as most of the minis are already out there (ie - reissue, maybe with new paint). It would be great if a DM was going to run a Dark Sun campaign for example to be able to pick up a pack or two of DS minis and have most of what would be needed. Tokens could cover the rest.

Setting dependent sets would be great, especially if they´d cover the unique features an creatures of the world. It´s quite a pain to find sufficient proxies for e.g. Dark Sun1, so I hope that the miniature line will survive this time until the "common fare" has been served.
Though I quite frankly expect it to bomb, because the initial sets will deliver miniatures that can be found in masses from former DDM or Pathfinder minis or whatever source. So I guess that the popular demand will NOT be enough to keep the minis alive for long.

1 To stop any speculation: I´ve found enough proxies or my players and humanoid monsters, heck, I even own most of the old Ral Partha line. But when it comes to very distinct monsters I´m still at a loss (e.g So-Ut, psurlons, kirre, mekillot..). Though I´m still waiting for GW to produce some of their lizardmen razordons in resin. That would make modifying them much easier..

ill second the motion for a Dark Sun themed pack. 1 each of some pc races: kreen, mul, tall elf, super stocky dwarf, half-giant, feral halfling. 1 each of iconic humanoids: belgoi, gith, silt runner, dray, ssurran, pterran. damn that's 12, and i didnt even get to monsters.

anyway: DarkSun pack please!

Unless the game contains lots of miniatures of monsters that aren't in DDM form yet, I'll probably just print the rules and cards and use my old minis to play it.

I'd also offer Chris Tubb who works for Mithril Miniatures and Phaeton Designs who does realistic yet heroic female characters. Not much in the way of odd bikinis there.

But I digress

Do we know if the minis are plastics yet? Or their scale?

What about those of us who would just be starting our collections with these releases?

Gelatinous Cubes.  An entire set of Gelatinous Cube minis. Includes tiny-sized "Gelatinous Cube Familiar", and "Familiar Mount Gelatinous Cube" w/ saddle.

I could make a ton of those sans saddles given an ample amount of plasticine clay, silicone compound and resin.

Indeed. Hopefully, if Dungeon Command ever features Gelatinous Cubes, maybe they'd be cheaper than the few of them left from older sets.

Anyhow, thinking about the RPG more than the Dungeon Command game itself, it would be nice to see some variations of a few concepts already in existence via DDM, i.e., where the hell are the Genasi Swordmages? We also need more Monks.

As for monsters, I'd love Gnolls, Trolls, Demons, Liches and Mindflayers.

I also agree with ThunderT1 in that there should be sets to use in the RPG (12 minis per box have a lot of potential) as full encounters: elite, lurkers, artillery, brutes, soldiers, and minions.

I also would love to see DC endure, not set aside like D&D Heroscape or suddenly and strangely cancelled like DDM...

Yes! Complete with Wyrmpriest, Dragonshields, Skirmishers, minions and everything! That would be pretty neat.

We really need those (theme?) sets with all the members of a full-blown encounter with a warband.

I for one am just super-excited that this set is coming out at all. I personally will use them to supplement my adventure board games. For that reason I hope the figures released aren't just duplicates of those that already come with the board games.  There is still so many figures that can be added to make the games more expansive. For example:

Tiflings are completely unrepresented in the game.
More female characters are definitely needed.
More eladrin, so far only one was introduced.
I too would love to have more goblins, their just the perfect classic minions.
A set of standard enemies, like thieves or pirates.
A giant or two, the Castle Ravenloft flesh golem is cool, but a standard giant would be nice.
Fey-beasts would be a nice addition too.

Honestly I am just happy that these are coming out at all, and can't wait to add them to my collection.
