| #1elfspeakerFeb 05, 2009 20:22:11 | Amazon is now listing Dungeon Delve with a March 3 release date. Wizards still has it as a February release. Has anyone heard anything on this? I was hoping to have the book before March 1. |
| #2serphetFeb 05, 2009 22:06:13 | amazon could be back-ordered. |
| #3elfspeakerFeb 05, 2009 22:08:54 | I don't think that's the case. I preordered mine in early December. |
| #4thecasualoblivionFeb 05, 2009 22:11:42 | I don't see Dungeon Delve on the Editorial Calendar anymore... |
| #5vebrandssonFeb 05, 2009 22:13:32 | I don't see Dungeon Delve on the Editorial Calendar anymore... There is an article on the Delves on the 20th in Dragon, but I don't recall ever seeing the release of the book its self on the callendar at all. |
| #6doctorhookFeb 05, 2009 22:42:06 | It's worth pointing out (to anyone who didn't figure this much out on their own) that if Dungeon Delve is delayed at this point, it's almost certainly a logistical issue. If it was a writing issue, it would be much, much more delayed. It's even pretty late for printing problems, because the books would have had to be printed at least a few weeks ago already in order to be shipped in time. Thus, if there's a delay at this point, I'm pretty certain it's a distribution problem. |
| #7elfspeakerFeb 05, 2009 23:43:07 | Wizards is usually really good about releasing things on time (especially compared to White Wolf) but it would be nice if they let us know when things were being delayed. It would certainly save at least a small amount of annoyance. |

It would certainly save at least a small amount of annoyance. At this point, it's not even sure that it is delayed. It might just be that Amazon is wrong; it's happened plenty of times before. (How long did it still accept preorders for Gargantuan Orcus, even after it had been cancelled?) |
| #9bsycamoreFeb 06, 2009 4:19:26 | Amazon.co.uk is still showing a Feb release. Delivery estimate: 17 Feb 2009 - 18 Feb 2009 * 1 of: Dungeon Delve: A 4th Edition D&d Supplement (D&d Adventure) (Dungeons & Dragons) Sold by: Amazon EU S.a.r.L. |
| #10Tharag_BoccFeb 06, 2009 14:45:29 | It has been my experience that Amazon sends e-mail notifications regarding delays if one has pre-ordered. I have not yet received such an e-mail regarding my own pre-order, yet. Unless someone who has pre-ordered has received such confirmation of delay, I am inclined to believe the new date merely means they have pre-sold all of their initial shipment and that the new date refers only to those who order now. |
| #11aliothefoolFeb 07, 2009 7:20:35 | I posted in the other thread about this, but this book is physically on sale at New York Comic Con right now. It's definitely not delayed. |
| #12kalstrandFeb 07, 2009 10:51:33 | I pre-ordered my copy from amazon back in December and got an email stating it is delayed until March 3. |
| #13Tharag_BoccFeb 07, 2009 13:57:12 | I pre-ordered my copy from amazon back in December and got an email stating it is delayed until March 3. Well that is unfortunate. I still haven't gotten mine, but I only pre-ordered at the beginning of the month so maybe they just haven't gotten around to notifying me yet. Not that I don't believe you, but I do find it a little odd as I would have thought such alerts to be fully automated.
Edit: I still haven't gotten an e-mail notification, but I just checked my open orders and my order has been split. My two sets of Caves of Carnage are scheduled to ship February 23rd, but my Dungeon Delve isn't scheduled to ship until March 9th. Oddly my King of the Trollhaunt Warrens is also delayed until March 9th.
|
| #14suthornFeb 07, 2009 14:02:28 | Went and picked up my comics, confirmed, Delayed to local stores as well. |
| #15doomwhFeb 08, 2009 9:34:55 | It appears the board stock came into the printers damaged so more had to be ordered thus delaying the release. So yes it has been delayed till March 3.![]() |
