#1 ryntak4536 Feb 01, 2010 14:26:20	Somewhere (I cannot remember where), I posted asking about future Eberron adventures.  Someone responded that with both FR and Eberron, WoTC was only publishing the one adventure each, and none others.  Is this true?  If so, why is that?  If not, any ideas as to when more adventuers will be made?
#2 salla Feb 01, 2010 14:29:30	WotC's standard policy for new campaign settings is one campaign guide, one player's guide, one adventure.  All the other adventures they publish can be easily placed within any campaign setting with minor tweaks, if any, so they don't need to publish adventures that a lot of people might not pick up because they don't like the CS they're attached to. This was WotC's announced policy from the day they announced they were releasing 4e FR.
#3 Dragoncat Feb 01, 2010 15:08:08	The single shot supplement setup allows WotC to publish numerous campaign settings without worrying about them competing with one another. Previously, there were several Forgotten Realms books a year, plus Eberron material, and groups with a spending cap usually went with one or the other.  There was less room for new stuff, because when you have to decide between picking up yet another book for a setting you use, or trying out a brand new one, the former gets favored.  Ergo, less campaign settings could be published, because the big ones were competing for space. The new format allows a group to pick up an entire setting in a single, stand-alone package.  It also means you don't feel pressured to get the latest release that might invalidate some of the information you know, edge in on campaign details you made up, or advance metaplot that might ruin your story.
