Mar 13, 2009 9:33:45 I'm hoping to put the bug in Wizards ear (if it hadn't been placed already) that an ebook version of most of their books would be a great idea.

I am thinking mostly for cons where you don't want to lug around a half dozen or more books and laptop batteries just won't last a full day (ok that's a pipe dream, but they will bearly last a full game). It doesn't need all the bells and whistles of the regular book (mainly the artwork) that doesn't translate over to a B&W reader.

They're full digital copies of the original, complete with a bookmarks toolbar on the side, search functions, and all the other things you can do with a pdf. Indispensable for quick referencing and cutting down on book clutter at the table.

Mar 13, 2009 15:29:38 as long as it's half priced. I don't care what mr. rouse says. i'm not paying near full price for something with no REAL substance that I can hold and touch. If bookmarking it and such costs money then don't. To me pdf's are a way to pass savings along to the consumer. this 5 dollars off business just isn't cutting it. If the normal book costs 30 dollars I will ONLY pay 15.

The mr. rouse thing was about a thread a while ago discussing pdf prices.

Mar 13, 2009 17:35:35 The beginning of the month rpgdrivethru ran a a sale. I picked up all the books I wanted. They weren't priced to badly. Everytime you buy a download you get it five times.

Mar 13, 2009 17:40:50 Picked up 11 books averaged out to be $17.50 book. Not great but I could live with it. Plus you get the books 5X's each.

Mar 13, 2009 18:09:19 jsut b/c the book is digital means it gets a much lower price. wotc has said many times that the actual physical book isn't really a factor in the book's price.
