Hey there, I'm returned to D&D after a while away. I like the idea of the D&D Encounters, any my local game store are looking into getting me involved with it.

I was wondering if there were plans on making the old Encounters campaigns available as normal products, much like Dungeon Delve was.

If i recall correctly, they said they where not going to, because they wanted to keep encounters "special".

it was mentioned in the James Wyatt chat that:

"(This adventure, along with past Encounters season adventures and Lair Assaults, are being examined in conjunction with a variety of different release options. It's too early to talk specifics; all we can say right now is that we're aware of the demand and are weighing solutions.)"

i currently have the last 2 seasons in my possession (the store let us have the copies and maps when the season is over and they would just collect dust), my friend has all but the first 2 seasons. he is missing the first part of keep on the borderlands, its unfortunate because that was probably the best adventure encounters has produced (it was an adapted for 4e, written by gary gygax)

i am going to keep DMing encounters because i get these cool adventures, honestly i can run most of them cover to cover in an 8 hour session, they also have a great balance of hard, easy and moderate encounters because they are combat orintented. they also focus on campagin settings which there are books for, so its really not hard to make the world come alive and let the players walk off the beaten path.

i would really love to see keep on the borderlands get republished that was the best one of all and i played every encounter of it.

Yeah, the thing is there is a market for it, and people will lose out on the exclusivity and community sense that playing Encounters when it happens brings, so there is cause to do it when the season's on. The only thing is that it would sell, even if it's like a year after it was produced originally.

The other thing is, I've not heard from my FLGS yet about Encounters, but is there much support for it in the UK?
