I was wondering if we've had any news so far as to these kinds of books coming out for 4E. Alternatively, would it be a good thing if they came out with environment books for 4E? More options for players and DMs is always nice...but there are plenty of rules already, and having extra for extreme temperatures or environment-themed monsters/traps/stuff might be better for future Monster Manuals/Dungeon Master's Guides. What are your thoughts? |

Fluff wise I would like to see it be less explaining things, like types of cities, or districts, etc. Since that usage can vary highly depending on what basis they are using for their cities. I would prefer more coming up with plot hooks and neat scenarios. Then having lots of unique crunch for running campaigns in the city. (Just using cities as an example for above, be the same with other books). |

I don't have the 4e DMG, so I don't know how much terrain ideas they discussed inside, but plot hooks & scenarios sounds like monster type books and campaign setting territory. Same stuff, but the organization is spruced up. |
