Q: Will we see an Essentials bard, with easy-to-use stances and auras, kinda like the essentials Knight?

Although I am rather "meh" on almost all of the stuff they announced, I am glad they are making annoouncements.

LOL Why does it sound bad, bad, bad? The Knight is a gem amongst the Essentials additions and the Bard is being fashioned after it. Could be worse, worse, worse. ;)

Ah, bud, no stress. There'll still be plenty of luster left once you thumb past the mar of Bard-dom, I'm sure.
I take Essentials for what it is. I'm mostly glad that I'll be able to try my hand at Encounters with a favorite class. I'm currently manning a Warpriest, which is different for me. I'm almost always a magicy, shooty, supporter type. Nice change being a smashy, beaty, supporter type. hehe
And about Runepriest support !

I don't have a problem with an eBard as such. I'm just afraid it will be of the same quality we've seen in eclasses after the two main player books: ie, vampire, binder, and by all appearances, bladesinger. If you can make an eclass function, that's fine, but for the love of god, please don't release another abomination like those.
Hopefully the eBard will be a build that's poised to make use of all of the quite solid and flavorful powers already in the pool of the Bard Archetype.
Here's hoping the class functions broadly and is called something akin to Bard(Minstrel), or something equally as simplistic and general, as opposed to something ridiculous like Bard(Feysinger).

Guiding strike: is a clever and creative set of deceptive tricks that debuff an enemies defenses when he hits em by throwing them off balance, confusing them, or hitting there head undermining will and or solar plexis undermining fort or hitting some nerve that throws off there timing and reflexes with a muscle spasms
Jinx Shot: becomes an even more imbalancing leg foul perhaps the arrow caught on ther armor and catches on something when they swing wide.... or that ear shot fouled up ther balance again. (good for big beasts that like to lead with there heads).
This was tacky.. tacky tacky.... look every door is locked and full of monsters garsh now the thief can feel useful.
My heart goes out to all of those who struggled under the rule of a DM lacking in imagination, tact, and ingenuity, because I have absolutely no memory of suffering through some of the ridiculousness people would have people believe about editions past.
Did issues exist? Yes. Were they game-ruining, end of all, uber-suxxors, D&D should die? No. -- The issues then were of the same magnitude of the issues now; they were simply different isssues.

Didnt make that one up experienced it myself same DM had doors close locked behind you and if you put a mule in the door it had them sliced in two... ... also had another DM with an obcession with life draining so your wizard was never going to be anything but that apprentice (see that fixes imbalance).
A game starting out imbalanced with a tacit rule of DM fix it... is really begging for those issues I envy those who experienced brilliant DMing when I got to be DM myself I realized I was fighting the system not playing with it and hence never playing 2e or 3e.
