Kiss of Death => More Broken than pre-errata Blade Cascade.  It needs either the words "ally" added somewhere (although then 2 rogues will the power still do infinite damage for an encounter), or it needs to be some form of action other than free (opportunity?)

That's is, if both Rogues have Kiss of Death they still do infinite damage, and it's a daily, so they can only use it once per day…

I'm pretty sure that that's NOT what Kiss of Death was meant to be used for though.  A simple word fix should change it.

On a different note, is the Shadowy Rogue our Int-Rogue?  Is it another Cha-Rogue?  What do you all think?

They still need to hit, so they can potentially do infinite damage but in practice it's far less, especially since it's a basic attack.

Tunnel-stalker + hammer rythm.  You do damage on a miss, it triggers again.

That and anyone can MC to pick this up, avengers like it alot, paticularly with Power of Skill + overwhelming strike.

In the past the word "cunning" has been used for Int based stuff, Cunning Bard for example is Int based

So we may be getting a Int Rogue.

Remember, though, the Bard already initially has Charisma, and is Intelligence really enough to make up for the Charisma?  I hope so.  I really want the Int Rogue to be in here.  We have enough Cha Rogues as it is.

Shadowy Rogue sounds like its in Assassin territory ( a situation that was murky before...)

Shadowy Rogue MC Assassin PPath Shadow Assassin EDest Perfect Assassin.

Mmm…

Remember, classes can emulate each other.  Battlerager Fighters emulate Barbarians.  Vengeful Seekers are similar to Archer Rangers.  Whirling Barbarians are similar to Tempest Fighters and Two-Blade Rangers.  There's no reason that Shadowy Rogues can't be very similar to the Shadow Power sourced Assassins.

They might enter similar conceptual space, but they're quite different in terms of mechanics, and their fluff ends up different as well, showing different ways of expressing a similar occupation.

Are we still on the whole Assassin is a Rogue ripoff myth?

Just because two classes use the same tactics does not make them the same class. It's silly to think that only one class is allowed to focus on stealth.

Multiple classes can be archers

Multiple classes can be bezerkers

Multiple classes can be swashbuckers

So why can't multiple classes be ninjas?

It is a myth. Rogues are by far a better class in all ways. Rogues do it from behind, Assassins do it with flair!

I pointed this out in another thread but Kiss of Death, even after WotC fixes it to an OA (or even an Immediate Reaction), is probably the best lvl 29 Daily for Melee Strikers.
Weilding a 1H heavy blade (lets say a Bastard Sword or Scimitar) an Avenger, TW Ranger, Whirling Barbarian, or Assassin can MC Rogue and pick up Versatile Duelist to gain the full glory of this power. On top of that, if they change it to an Opportunity Attack, those with Heavy Blade Opportunity will really be reeking havoc.

Not that I play much at level 29 but this really seems like an amazing power. Certainly better than anything Avengers and Assassins get. Maybe even bette than what TW Rangers get at that level (hard to believe I know...)

No, it's not better then what Rangers get. Rangers get Follow-Up Blow, which is at the same level as this, assuming the loop is fixed.

Follow-Up Blow lets you make an MBA with your off-hand weapon when you hit with a -2 penalty. Kiss of Death has no such penalty and triggers whenever your target gets hit by anyone and you apply a penalty to your target. KoD though only seems to apply to one target though. If anything I'd say they are about equal, with Kiss of Death currently being slightly better until it gets an errata.

Hy guys I am a rookie. I wonder I used to play an hybrid eladrin warlock fey pact/rogue with longsword finesse in order to play in a more RP style and what do I see versatile duelist! No more penalties...

Abusive! My evermeet fey pact with ethereal sidestep rogue was abusive too... Ok teleport/invisble/sneak attack...

So  what do you think about it New feat for my drow rogue long but not so longshot with kukri

Flying kukri master: Pre req. Rogue; rogue weapon talent feature; Dex 17; proficient with kukri

You can now use kukri as a light thrown weapon.
Rogue weapon talent feature still apply using kukri as a light thrown weapon

The big unanswered question is: Will we finally have rogues with shortbows (w/o house rules)?

Preview says that Sharpshooter Talent helps Crossbow and Sling rogues, rather than introducing shortbow talents.

Not that I don't love Rogue Weapon Talent (because I do!) but I am actually hoping they'll put out a viable alternative to it, so I am not constantly drawn to daggers with every Rogue build I make.

Any rumors to this effect?

That's what Sharpshooter Talent is supposed to be.  We don't know what it'll be about though.  But it's supposed to bring x-bows and slings up to snuff with daggers and shurikens.

Hmm, so you could in theory (assuming here) make a Brutal Scoundrel and swap out Rogue Weapon Talent for Sharpshooter Talent, as opposed to Sharpshooters being instead of Brutal Scoundrels? (Whereas Cunning Rogues would be instead of...)

Interesting.

If I understand the posts on RPG.net right, the Sharpshooter Talent is kinda like Weapon Talent: +1 to hit with Crossbows and Slings.
