The Feywild, as it has been treated thus far, is a compelling addition to the game. It is hands down my favorite plane of the new cosmology. ![]() Nice sig links! I'm an old Planescapes die-hard myself. ;) |

That city deserves a setting book too, and then you would add other details like Fey Courts, the Wild Hunt of the Firbolgs, and the Goblin Kingdom. The Fomorians in the Feydark actually don't need much in the book – they've already gotten featured in Underdark, just as Glimmer and the Incunabula in the Shadowdark were completely ignored in Shadowfell: Gloomwrought and Beyond. |
| #4Obvious_NinjaJul 03, 2011 10:13:30 | I assume it will be officially announced at GenCon and elaborated on at the DnD Games Day later in the year... |
| #5HoundstoothJul 05, 2011 11:01:41 | Gloomwroght came out with Heroes of Shadow, so I assume Heroes of the Feywild will be out alongside A fey setting |
| #6AcryliumJul 05, 2011 18:42:35 | This could take a few month till such a box would be released from today on. |

I totally agree with this assessment. I would love to see a book focusing on Astrazalian. |
| #8FearOfTheDarkJul 08, 2011 22:15:47 | I've wanted more Feywild information for a while now. I loved the article on the Prince of Frost and the Bramble Queen, and would love to see some stuff on Baba Yaga. I also liked the article on the Murkwood Trade Moot. Here's what I would like to see: Goblinoid PC support More on the archfey More Feywild fluff...I personally like it the best Sea fey stat blocks (merfolk would be awesome...with tokens!) I really like the Shadow stuff they did, so I'm pretty sure the Feywild will be just as good. |
| #9MarandahirJul 09, 2011 10:00:22 | Satyrs were heavily alluded to in Monster Vault 2, and yet not included (as were the Woodsinger Clan of Elves). Woodsinger Elves are meant to be a PC origin for your Elf character. I expect Satyrs to be featured as a force to be reckoned with in Feywild box set, and possibly even a player race in Heroes of the Feywild. |

But I am partial to Feywild and I would love to see a new box on the plane detailing a city there. Me too. The Feywild is one of my favorites among things that were added in 4E. I'm really looking forward to Heroes of the Feywild in a way that I haven't for any D&D book in years. |
| #11cerberuspuppyJul 15, 2011 16:14:38 | There's so much more they could do with the Feywild at this point. It's just bursting at the seams with potential. One of the writers of HotF is a friend of mine, but of course there's precious little he can tell me about it. |
| #12mvincentJul 15, 2011 16:22:45 | fwiw: Practical Guide to Faeries contains detailed descriptions of some Feywild locations. In fact, it provides more Feywild information than any other WotC book so far: including a map, excellent illustrations, and some very creative details about the Feywild. It also includes some skill challenge ideas, and provides excellent role-playing flavor. Ok, so it's a kid's book, but it's a great value for under $10 (including shipping). |
| #13cerberuspuppyJul 15, 2011 17:35:20 | Thanks for the tip. Looks good. Is it meant to work with D&D 4E? So is this Mirrorstone company doing GSL products for kids? |

Thanks I'm a sucker for all things planar - definitely sign up to Planewalker and contribute your ideas! I actually love the Shadowfell and Feywild, recalling similar worlds in prior edition products and general mythology/fantasy. I think Rich Bakker had a Shadowfell type plane in the Birthright setting. I'm surprised there hasn't been a lot of information dealing with the Feywild, it was one of the major additions to the cosmology. Seeing the fey, in some form or another, are an important part of some bestselling fantasy series, you'd think they'd show up more. Would be cool to bring in some fey from the Magic: Gathering cosmology as well. |
| #15mvincentJul 20, 2011 11:49:09 | Is it meant to work with D&D 4E? It uses the D&D 4e background/cosmology. It doesn't contain game stats though. So is this Mirrorstone company doing GSL products for kids? Mirrorstone is WotC (i.e. their line of books for kids). |
| #16cerberuspuppyJul 20, 2011 13:51:56 | Well, it's cool that they're doing that. I'll have to pick up a copy, especially for that price. Thanks. |

I expect Satyrs to be featured as a force to be reckoned with in Feywild box set, and possibly even a player race in Heroes of the Feywild. IIRC, they included Woodsinger Elves as NPCs in the Reavers of the Harkewold mod that comes with the Essentials Dungeon Master's Kit. |
