#1 18eric Jul 31, 2011 4:51:23	I was wondering if Wizards own the Forgotten Realms - Baldurs Gate trademark and if so have they thought about teaming up with Interplay so the can re-reless Forgotten Realms - Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 1&2 for PS3 and finish Forgotten Realms - Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 3 and in retern ask for 20% of the Profit scince they would only be "clearing" them using the tradmark? There are alot of poeple who want the series completed and with it being on PS3 the game will be $50-$60 for one, so without having to really do anything they could make alot.........

I do not see interplay being able to tread the water that its ship is sinking in for much longer also, the BG:DA trash is no more, since it was split between BG and DA. we would do better just to get a BG3 and or an IWD3, or a NWN3. I dont foresee Neverwinter pleasing the masses

I know that with the technology we have today the games could be 10x better than they were when they came out and if they would make a 3rd one it wouldn't be a sinker either knowing that alot of people are wanting them to do so.
#4 sfdragon Aug 01, 2011 11:09:58	interp[lay is too busy still filing for bankruptxy and trying to find partners to keep it afloat. thats whats bad with it. and as I said, the bg:DA franchise was split up, when Interplay lost the rights to Baldur's Gate and ICewind Dale as area to make games in, they bought the Dark Alliance part of it, and then started having finacial troubles. dead and sinking
#5 18eric Aug 01, 2011 18:32:54	Well I dont know where you have been but interplay came back in 2008 after going bankrupt and it already has partners and they are putting out games that are thriving. Thats what im saying though is that Wizards of the Coast should team up with them to finish the series off and re-release the games on Xbox 360 & PS3. Thats the only part that Interplay needs to finish the series is the suport of Wizars which was lost after the 2nd Game when they were having financial trouble. Im not saying that Wizards shouldn't make there own game like the BG:DA series but they should finish what the helped start.

#8 thax Aug 14, 2011 18:14:19	Truth. It isn't really Interplay right now, it is just a name plate. The real company died a while ago. Right now, Atari "owns" the license to the D&D brand, and FR/Baulder's Gate is a part of that, even if Atari themselves can't touch the already existing games. Neverwinter is coming later this year, though I expect it to be push back to summer. How successful it is may determine if Atari will keep the license.

#10 masterfat78 Aug 21, 2011 13:14:34	Atari no longer holds the rights(they settled out of court),and I would love to see a DA3(and I know quite a few peeps who would also).Interplays problems were on the side of bad manegment and DA2was a pretty good seller.Other games like Fallout didnt do nearly so well.With the trend of downloadable games,I could see DA3 going that way,just as long as whoever makes the game give it enough dev. time(Im looing at you Daggerdale).
