Anyone have a clue when or where the new modern d20 rules are being released? Or is it assumed we're playing Saga edition star wars for that?

I've got a campaign coming up in a couple weeks regardless which is probably 4e based (with suitable alterations) I was just curious to see if it would be wise to buy the old future d20 stuff or not.

Does anyone have any 4th edition future d20 pet projects going that they'd not mind sharing?

I keep hoping they release another edition to D20 Modern. Unfortunately last time I looked into it they were not planning one I'm really hoping if the new releases of SW and DnD do well enough they will reconsider. It seemed d20 Modern was fairly popular for a while there. I was hoping a new edition would get things going there again.

To answer your question. D20 Future was a horrible book IMHO. Saga is far better a source for that type of stuff. I don't think it would benefit you much to buy the old Future book. Both due to quality and the fact that it's far different than either SW or 4e

Well my friend's already have the books (He was thinking about getting another one for me)

I hope for a Future or Modern d20 sometime soon. I think it would be alot of fun.

I'm hoping for a mostly 4e type game. (complete with magic) I'm going to be looking at Saga in more detail soon so maybe I'll just run something using those rules. (but not the setting)

If your not already familiar with Saga it is a good system and it's as close to a new version of the modern class models as anything.

All the classes get talents and feats every other level. They have lots of trees that let you cusomize a lot. I think it would be a great book for any world.
