For example Book of Vileness will be a theme, so I suspect more shadow powers, another history article, maybe heritage feats for stuff like mindflayer or demon, something that fights vile things. Maybe another vampire build. An Archivist build for Invoker. Or a Torturer build for Assassins. Some pp or theme conversions for prestige classes from Book of Vileness. It'd be great if they put in the Blackguard Mount article that the designer suggested, it'd be cool to ride a Dracolich! Also I believe thier is an Issue that will focus on Romance. Cupids as a race? A marriage theme, were you get a spouse as a freebie (GLBT friendly of course ![]() I think they have a kind of Powers and Pantheon theme too for FR gods. Maybe more War cleric domains and maybe virtues and vices that tie into FR ideals like, Love, Lust, Greeds, Hate, Friendship, Compassion. Channel divinity article. |

A marriage theme, were you get a spouse as a freebie (GLBT friendly of course A Romance-themed issue? That sounds like a very role-play-intensive idea. I'd be interested to see how that would translate mechanically. Perhaps an excuse to introduce some bizarre, game-breaking idea like hybrid races (featuring parents of two different species). I also like the idea of having a spouse with mechanical benefits. Perhaps players won't be so quick to abandon/kill off all NPCs in their backstory. As for the Book of Vile Darkness, I hope to see a theme, class-ic monster, or heritage feats to become a lich. Undead spellcasters for the win! |

Knights, Love Domain Warpriests, Cavaleries of Chivalry as virtue, maybe Blackguards of lust as thier opposites, jousting theme, maybe Baron, King, or Dragoon as a new Warlord builds. Bards with cool love song powers. The BOVD theme is a touch of evil so I'm looking forward to that. Really screams shadow power source. I think a Torturer Assassin build would be wicked, controller instead of striker, deals non lethal damage, but lots of status effects. BOVD preview or whatever it was said something about a sentient tumour in relation to the play content. I assumed cancer mage, but what about a Tumour PC race, or a race that is really a collection of bugs, or half-Dalkyr from eberron. As the issue that I thought was an FR Diety issue is actually a diety and primordial issue. I still expect lots of FR stuff. Maybe some good stuff for immortal, elemental races and divine and elemental power users. Oh and I expect a focus on epic play. Maybe the month when the bladeling artical will come out. Skulldudgery I suspect will be all about thieves and other criminals. Rogue and assassin stuff, maybe a crime boss warlord path or theme. Spy subclass of rogue. The return of the Archivist. Items related to crimes. |

I've been reading the Plane Above book and love the piratical ideas it inspires, but it's so late tier i'd like some resources to start the characters off as pirates of the mortal world who then become the greatest pirates of the planes. Planescape might also make a good themed issue rather than a whole book. Detail where the factions have gone. What their surving cults on the mortal world look like after the Factol War, with many members disbelieving the tall tales of the old-timers about how the groups use to be in this weird city of doors. |
| #5Style75Oct 28, 2011 9:31:28 | Nautical in general, not just pirates. I'd like to see articles and adventures that deal with anything and everything to do with water. I'd also like to see more aquatic monsters, there's not too many of them now. |

Make them nautical themed, but still useable outside of this instance (maybe make them better on a boat or near water or such). They could do a Swashbuckler theme for blade users, giving some new attacks. A straight Pirate theme would not be undesired. Maybe it can give you a parrot or monkey or another small animal companion (I geuss that would be captain themed, but you are kind of a big deal so it works). I'd enjoy this quite a bit. Then you can have a navy captain and a tradeship captain. This could all be very, very fun. I'd also enjoy the sort of medieval theme mentioned up there. Maybe in doing so they could do a playtest of a revision to the Cavalier class since I hear quite a few complaints about it. You could have themes for the sort of heroes that are consistent tourney winners, those who have taken some oath to various orders not already covered by classes. I could see this very entertaining. |
