I can't find this info anywhere (the search isn't helping but I did try) and I was wondering about this.  Has Wizards announced if you can use the options from the Heroes of Shadow book in the next (or maybe even this) season of D&D Encounters?

I play most of my D&D as part of this event so I'll buy the book if I can use it but I kinda need to know first ;).

Yes.

"All of this is just in time for the next Dungeons & Dragons Encounters season—"Dark Legacy of Evard." Create a character to play in this Encounters season using Player's Option: Heroes of Shadow and you'll be ready for whatever slithers out of the oppressive darkness—as well as whatever drags you in!"

Sheesh, you conjure a few tentacles and you end up with a 'Dark Legacy?'  Evard needed better PR.

what do you mean essentials restricted?  Do you mean essentials + HoS and related dragon articles?  that's what its going to be.  Do you mean HoS only?  No, it won't be HoS only.  There's no defender in that book.

"Evard? He's that guy with huge tentacles right? Bet he's a hit with the ladies."

Sounds like good press to me. ;)

They also have fat books that they peel open the pages of and discover the secrets within, and in which they also put their own secrets into, and later draw out.

Well, they're not 'Fighters of the Coast,' now are they?
