| #2melloredApr 29, 2010 13:42:53 | Nobody's talking about it because there's nothing to talk about yet. I don't think they've ever released previews more then a month before hand. Often it's only the 2-3 weeks before the release. So i'd start complaining then. |

Information was flowing all over the forum and they werent hidden in some obscure corner of the forum. |

| #5kilamanjaroApr 29, 2010 15:48:08 | August is only 49 days away? |
| #6celticmuttApr 29, 2010 17:55:01 | August is only 49 days away? Man, I've heard of time flying, but this is ridiculous! ![]() |
| #7askanipsionApr 29, 2010 18:24:14 | August is only 49 days away? At one time the DS books were set to come out in June but were moved to Aug so maybe that is why. |
| #8ascottbayApr 29, 2010 20:24:56 | FWIW, I'd like to clarify a couple points made by the well-meaning Grummore:
I think the root of the concern is that Dark Sun isn't really on the radar, while other settings received and continue to receive attention. It popped up at the cons with the preview adventure, but then it kind of fell by the wayside again. There's no regular, frequent pinging of "Dark Sun is coming...!" No setting-specific adventure hook in an adventure that they could use to promote it. There might also be fear that if enough interest isn't generated for Dark Sun then the campaign books themselves will be another blip as big as the preview, and everyone should want it to be a strong product line.

| #9DungeoneeringApr 29, 2010 22:17:16 | Eberron recieved support from Day 1 because they expected that people were going to want to continue their Eberron campaigns in 4e. People had a reasonable expectation that 3.x's major campaign world would be playable in a new edition right away. Dark Sun is different. I don't think anyone flipped open the PHB and started looking for Thri-Kreen under the Races chapter right away. I'm sure they're going to treat the DS books like their usual books and start releasing previews about a month in advance. So chill. |
| #10sallaApr 29, 2010 23:34:15 | There's a part of me that wonders if they didn't make significant changes to the setting that they figure a small, but loud, minority will object to and don't want to watch the forums explode. |

I don't remember that. It's always been slated for August as far as I remember. |
| #12ah_stormbringerApr 30, 2010 4:02:28 | I know they changed at least one thing, they replaced the half giant with the goliath for this addition but other than that they have been pretty quiet. |

Amazon had them intiially on their site coming out in June. Could have been an error on Amazon's side - dunno |
