How would you like a new Lords of madness (about aberrations)?

Oct 22, 2008 14:50:20 I couldn´t buy that book but aberrations may be cool monster. I am not a book about the far realms and cthulhu´s mythos but favourits aberrations from past editions.

A good example are the zern "race" from Monster manual IV (with their "pets"), the thoon "cult" from MM V or the Ethergaunts from Fiend Folio (3.X).

Did anybody like the Tschochar (from lords of madness)?

What is your opinion about the tsochar from Lord of Madness?

So lots and lots of info for DMs but interspersed with rituals, items, monster rae, PPs, etc.

I personally want the Elan (though I am thinking the Elan will be a race that will appear in a PHB with Psionics) and some manner of half-aberration.

In a perfect world, each book would have lots of DM info, monsters (both old & new), new rituals & reagents (such as was in the Draconomicon), and some Player info (such as a new PC race of that origin, feats, etc.).

I would like for the Far Realm book to include 4e stats for classic aberrations, some new monsters, and (hopefully) D&D statistics for classic H.P. Lovecraft / Robert Howard creatures. Also, I really feel that any sourcebook for the Far Realm / aberrations wouldn't be complete without some optional sanity rules.

Probably the other planes-centric monster manual I would most want would be one for the Astral Sea/immortals. Full write-ups for angels, devils, and various deities (from multiple settings). (We already have the stats for Tiamat from the Draconomicon.)

Dec 16, 2008 18:26:22 I would think this may take the form of a book like Draconomicon or Open Grave. It would have a chapter on the physiology and psychology of such creatures, introduce a few more and suggest some adventures and lairs for these creatures...

Dec 16, 2008 19:43:33 Luis, count me in! Additionally, since we've already got a first Draconomicon and a book about Undead for 4E, I think a 4E aberration/"Lords of Madness" book is actually pretty likely. Maybe late 2009? Early 2010?

As for what creatures? It doesn't matter much to me, as long as there's lots of them! New ones, old ones, and variants of all of them. The fluff is as interesting as the crunch.

(The best way we can tell WotC that we would buy such a book is for us to buy Draconomicon and Open Grave. If those monster books sell, they willpublish more monster books.)
