It's starting to look like Human Fighters are going to become a heck of a lot more fun to play as when Martial Power comes out, mainly because there are going to be 4 more Fighter At-Will Powers (Dual Strike, Footwork Lure, Brash Strike, and Crushing Surge). No more need for Sword'n'board fighters to waste their 3rd At-Will on Reaping Strike (which isn't very good without a 2-handed weapon), and both don't need to worry about Sure Strike (:hides, although Sure Strike does seem to have gotten an upgrade in said article...

At any rate, Human Fighters can finally make use of a 3rd, useful At-Will.

I suspect each of the power-source books will make the respective base classes equally more fun for variety.

And completely buff humans and half-elves in the process.

I actually really like Sure Strike on my sword and board human. Sure losing the Strength bonus sucks, but I have no use for Reaping Strike. And I've actually gotten alot of mileage out of it. It allows me to walk into status effects (or even take them head on), and still get off some decent hits with a pretty good chance of hitting (and really, as a sword and board fighter my goal is to be marking as many things as I can. Damage is secondary).

Smart thinking.

You sir, may have my back in any fight on any day.

I'd recommend taking a look at the Gladiator Article. There's a feat in there that allows you to add your weapon's proficiency bonus to Sure Strike Attacks.

That, would make it a very sweet deal indeed. Less damage than with any other attack, especially in the long run (as STR increases), but it makes sure I hit, and deals not terrible damage. Unfortunately I don't have a DDI subscription, so I will just have to wait for that to open up for everybody (it does do that, right? I haven't previously seen any articles I can't open).

jimthegray- The article has upgrades for the new at wills. Based on the way they upgrade, you can draw some conclusions about the way the new at wills work.

The gladiator is a multiclass only path that's gonna be in Martial Powers right? That book is really interesting me, I'm eager to be able to buy it!

There are some weapon master powers that are multiclass only, but, unless I'm misunderstanding a whole lot (possible), the 'gladiator' is just a fluff preamble to the section on feats.

Most of the feats don't seem worth taking, but there is a dizzying variety of them.

My favourite was the one that gives Tide of Iron reach when you use a spear and shield. Mmmm....

the heroics are so so , though staff mastery and the spear and shield are nice.
but the paragon are nice and the epics that effect at wills are interesting
