I've noticed that a lot of the MP feats and PPs are based off of PHB1 races, which might leave "new" races from PHBII kind of left in the dust when it comes to feat selection. I imagine Arcane Power and Divine Power, 2 post-PHB supplements, might not suffer from this problem.

Do you think they'll eventually come out with a new MP book with new options for new races and new general options? I don't know about you, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I am pretty sure they will. After all, I don't think we have seen the last of the Martial classes quite yet, and they will probably want to give later Martial classes the same expanded support than the first few did.

Still, I don't think we will see one until those new Martial classes get released. I think that some might appear as early as the PHB 3, or maybe in an Oriental Adventures setting book, but that probably won't be until 2010 or later.

Excuse me while (for some reason) I go get weirded out by using the date 2010 to refer to the relatively near future for the first time in my life...

LOL @ 2010 being 'near future'. I feel the same.

I also agree with this sentiment. I don't think we'll see MP, DP, and AP 2's until 2010 at the earliest, probably more like 2011.

I hope we don't see it before then, personally. (Incidentally, the current naming convention for these books -- _______ Power -- is much better suited to the production of sequels than 3.5E's questionably named "Complete" series.)

I'd bet we'll see something in Dragon mag rather than a Martial Power 2. If they do release four more martial classes at some point in the future, I could understand getting another Martial Power.

I doubt we'll see many, or any, more martial classes.

With 8 power sources x 4 (give or take) classes each, thats already 32 classes. They have to be careful to make each class distinct, with a unique shtick. I don't think there is enough design space to make too many more Martial classes, especially when you consider that other power sources are going to have 'melee' classes (Barbarian - primal, likely Warden - primal, Swordmage - Arcane).

At best, I think we might see more builds for existing classes, and more powers for existing classes (as long as they don't overlap with other classes' powers). Paragon Paths and Epic Destinies, since they are very specific, have more design space.

I'm in favour of fewer classes...seems like there is little need for many of the 3.5 classes, as they are only slight variations on existing classes. I'd rather just see more build options.

I think when a new race comes out, there will be race specific feats in the supplement that it came out in.

I wouldn't put it past them to have a Martial 2, but like other said, its so far down the line...

I am looking forward to the next Martial Power since I thought this one did a great job expanding the options for the current Martial classes. I would think that another book featuring the same 4 classes would be fine since the big draw of those books is more powers. I would be happy to see another set of powers since that, to me at least, is the best way to make each character unique.
