#1 Astromath Nov 23, 2009 8:03:25	My specific request is to add Rogue powers that use blunt weaponry.  Reason: Most (if not all) Kender Rogues use a hoopak (a double weapon +2 quarterstaff/staff-sling).  I would also like to see some types of blunt weapons added to the Rogue build without the need of a feat.

#3 ah_stormbringer Nov 23, 2009 14:27:48	There sure was but I don't think it could use Quarterstaffs but I do not think one will be in MP2 as I think it will be a duelist or missle weapon build for the rogue. I figure one new build per class is all we will get and as the duelist has been hinted at already, that is what we are likely to get this time around.

This would be a fine example of a racial feat to put in the Dragonlance Player's Guide.  "You may use a hoopak in place of a light blade when using rogue powers."  The hoopak is already a sling, so that part of it is covered.

Really?  Where?  I know there was a class acts for duelist rogues, and some class acts have been expanded into full builds (illusionist wizard), but I've not heard any such confirmations regarding the rogue.  Is this purely a matter of speculation, or does anyone actually have a solid source?

I thought as much, however, two points.  Of all the class acts articles, I believe that only the illusionist wizard has been expanded into a full build. Given that Martial Power 2 is due out in only three months, it seems unlikely that WotC would preview the build as a class acts without at least a blurb mention something like, "read Martial Power 2 for expanded coverage". Come a potential Martial Power 3 and maybe WotC might decide to expand it into a full build, but Martial Power 2 seems unlikely at best.

Agreed that Martial Power 2 is soon to be out.  There's still a possibility, but it might have to wait for next year, unfortunately.

What articles qualify as demi-builds, and what articles qualify only as a group of thematically related powers is highly subjective, open to individual interpretation and opinion. Prior to Arcane Power, and the introduction of the Orb of Deception power,  I would have only considered illusionist wizard to be theme rather than a build.  Much like how any wizard can be a pyromancer or a conjurer merely by choosing thematically appropriate powers.
#14 ah_stormbringer Nov 25, 2009 4:15:39	The great thing is we do not know what will be in MP2 as of yet and it is still up in the air. We may get a class act idea fleshed out or something entirly new. We will not find out until the previews or until the book comes out.
#15 waterbizkit Nov 25, 2009 13:14:01	All I want to see in the next iteration of Martial Power is some support for the weapon types that are currently lagging behind. While blades, axes, hammers, polearms, and spears do rather well for themselves I find flails, picks, and maces falling way behind. Maybe WotC is afraid of getting semi-repetitive? Blades and spears already function off of dexterity. Hammers rely heavily on constitution. Axes are a mix of strength & constitution. Polearms rely on wisdom and of course also benefit from which other weapon group they belong to. Perhaps designers don't know what to do with the others without covering previous ground? I doubt it really. I hope not at any rate. I'd simply like to see something nice for the forgotten weapons. I want to have nice feats (and to some extent even powers) to go along with wielding a pick... because picks are cool. Heh. After this issue is addressed, everything else is gravy for me. Build-types don't concern me because I'm constantly looking at new character-types, and therefore new builds, all the time as is. As such I'm content mucking about with what already is, never mind what will be. That said, more variety is always welcome. ~Bizkit
