Apr 09, 2009 22:26:02 In May the Monster Manual Dangerous Delves comes out. Has anyone heard what some of the larger monsters will be? Any dragons? Has WotC posted any previews? I could not find any on the minis page.

I can confirm the authenticity of some of the photos - I was there at the initial presentation @ DDXP 2009. The set list is pretty much known. No official WotC previews yet.

I believe retailers can order cases either with two of each visible, or they can order a case that has only the same visible. So if a particular visible pack is selling well, you can order just those.

I can't confirm that though.

The monsters seem to be a good mix, and variety. Need some hobgoblins though for my games!:D

Apr 10, 2009 16:21:25 I suspect we might see a set with a Huge visible though they may decide just to release Huge minis by themselves like the Icons sets did with the bigger dragons.

If the distribution is right though it's a bit annoying htat almost half the set is rare and therefore you'll need to get multiples of the visibles just to get all the rares. The visibles should be the highest number in the set or at least equal to the highest.

Yes, one of the sets later this year will have huge minis.

A separate note: I've looked at the previews for this set, and it seems they've tried to include minis that are useful for the published adventures. That is, the early ones. H1-3 and P1. The ones my group has already played or are just finishing up... I see nothing that's really useful for P2 or 3 in there. :P

Well my group is only on H2 so we should be good!
It will be nice to be able to use the correct mini's in the combat.
I know the PHB2 World Wide Game Day mini's satisfied my OCD nicely. :D
