| #1ThrovinAug 06, 2014 2:05:44 | Hello! This is my first message here and I am wondering if there are plans on releasing a set of tokens for D&D5º on the style of those that were made for Essentials in D&D4º
These were way better in my opinion than the Pathfinder pawns and a must-have. Not with a book, a box with just the tokens would be perfect and would suit perfectly with the Monster Manual with the art of this edition.
Will we have anything like this in the new edition? |

I too play 2d tokens and not keen on 3d "minis" just as a matter of expense and storage. I make my own tokens with a printer, 1"-4" cardboard blanks and a glue stick |

It is reasonable then that I should not expect something similar for this edition, even if it would be the best option for a lot of us.
Then I will end up making my own tokens or even getting a 4Ed vault |

Paizo is having massive success with their sets, and wizards would be missing out on a significant amount of profits. also one reason they wanted to make a lasting edition is because most of the money is made in supplements and modules, not the core materials.

I find their images a lot easier to see than the official wotc tokens and you get a TON of tokens in each set, much more than a typical wotc set. I see that they're running out of stock on their 4e products (in reality the monsters could be used in any fantasy RPG game, they're not really specific to 4e) but they've got a new product out now called "Monster Medallions". I'm not familiar with them (I now have more tokens than I'll ever need!) but they look pretty good from the description. You can order them through their webstore but you can also get them at game shops. If your local shop doesn't have them, they can order them in.
Check it out, they make great tokens. |
