So I was down at my local games store the other day and ended up in the Dark Sun Monster Vault.
Wow, its awesome, I thought as I realized it had not only Dark Sun themed monsters, but also hazzards, and themes for those monsters similar to those in the DMG 2.
Then I got to thinking...
What if we had some more monster vaults/manuals come out that not just monsters, but also traps, hazzards, and even some skill chalenges to specific themes. Currently the DMG 1 and 2 has a lot of good themes for monsters as well as trap hazzards and skill chalenges, but buy not put those into an Eberron Monster Vault, or a Forgotten Realms Monster Manual.

What do you guys think? Would you buy these for your setting or a general one for home brews?
Do you need more monsters or updated monsters. Do you want more traps hazzards or skill chalenges?

I do!

You mean the Dark Sun Creature Catalog?  Yeah, that's an awesome book.  Eberron didn't do the Monsters justice by having them spread out throughout the text in their locations of origin.  Forgotten Realms had them in the back of the book, but it's so riddled with errors and typos and it's so old and there weren't enough in it.

But a Monster Vault – complete with monster tokens – for each setting, INCLUDING Dark Sun (or, if the Creature Catalog is enough, I'd happily buy monster tokens as a stand-alone set for Dark Sun), would be awesome.

I also want my Draconomicon 3 with more Catastrophic Dragons.  Other varieties were mentioned in previous books and in 3-Dragon Ante.  I'm really frustrated that it hasn't happened yet.  And we're still waiting on a book featuring Linnorms (also known as Scourge Dragons).
