| #1megacitytoursMay 14, 2009 19:36:14 | The best thing to come out of Wizards the last year has been the minis and MTG. But this whole thing with D&D following WOW is the worst thing ever. Gary Gygax must be rolling over in his grave. Wow, Wizards really dropped the d20 and rolled a critical miss. I don't see me buying any D&D related books ever again. I was 11yrs old when I started playing and instant fell in love with, now I'm 39 and have been made sick to my stomach. If I wanted to play WOW I would, but I want to play D&D....not WOD&DW. Come on guys bring back the classic. If not I see a bleak future for this game system. But until then, I play Pathfinder. Will |

Enjoy your games and may your dice roll true. Hope to see you back when the wheels of change bring us 5th, perhaps it will be more to your liking. -Nerp |

Do you want us to stop you from quiting? |
| #5megacitytoursMay 14, 2009 20:00:58 | Not quiting, I have a huge library of 1st and 2nd edition stuff. I'll always be a player. I just don't like the mechanics of 4th. If there is a 5th, I'll check it out and see if its more to my liking. I hope no one gets upset by this post, it wan't my intention. Will |

Well not all 1s, just at critical times. Will |
| #7NyarlathotepMay 14, 2009 20:05:33 | You know. I was just thinking to myself, "Nyarl" (yes, refer to myself by my screen name when I am Thinking), "Nyarl, you know what the board could use? Why another edition war thread, that's what." And it came to be. Complete with "They are ruining D&D forever" and a WOW reference. Just the kind of refreshing thread we haven't seen a million times before. Huzzah! |
| #8Janx_14May 14, 2009 20:08:33 | Shouldn't pathfinder be WoW? WoW is based on 3.5 (well, more like 3.0)...Pathfinder is based on 3.5...im getting more of a connection already. As a WoW player myself, I find 3.5 alot more similar to WoW than 4e is. |
| #9hanzo187May 14, 2009 20:10:29 | I played WoW just a few days ago (free trial), and if anything, it's similar to Shaiya, Guild Wars, and Last Chaos. In fact, I found WoW an extreme borefest. It doesn't have anything to do with 4th Edition, IMO, but if that's the way you feel, that's the way you feel. If you haven't played it yet, you should give it a shot. If you don't like it, there's plenty of other D&D material for you to use. |
