First to be revealed is Corellon. Who might the other three be?

As a fan of Warpriests, I like having more domains to choose from.

If I had to take a wild stab, probably corellon, kelemvor, amaunator and... tempus, maybe?  Detailing the gods which differ from the core pantheon would make most sense to me.

Isn't Corellon also a Core deity? Does he differ that much between FR and Core?

Different alignment (good in FR, unaligned in PoLand). Otherwise, they're identical.

For what it's worth, I dislike the idea of tying domains to specific deities like this. I'll probably reskin this 'Corellon' domain as the 'Skill' domain.

Yes.  He's also fairly iconic to the FR setting, as I understand it.  But if I were to have picked, I probably wouldn't have picked him.

That being said, I do agree, on reflection, that Domains, rather than gods, would be a far better choice for Warpriest domains.  They're more flexible and more re-skinnable.

Having more domains would be a really good thing for the game. Right now post essentials for war priests we got earth, storm. light and death unless I missed one. I would love to have a few more just to tailor war priests to gods. I might be asking for too much here, but maybe they will toss a few more bones out.

I would also imagine we'll get one or two more in the Heroes of Feywild. Something like Arcane and Nature would be my guess.

Could "Shadow" have been a separate domain from Death in Heroes of Shadow or would the two of them have been too similar and/or redundant?

Kelemvor and Amaunator seem very unlikely, as we already have Death and Sun domains.

I would expect Torm to be included, since he's taken over from Tyr, who was IIRC Neverwinter's patron deity. Also, a Torm domain could easily be reskinned to work for warpriests of Bahamut in PoLand and for any god of Justice or Protection in other settings.

Selune is also a possibility, given her importance in FR's cosmology (she and Shar are really second only to Ao), and her domain could be reskinned as a Sehanine or Moon domain in other settings.

Tempus would be a good fourth choice, being an unaligned (but still solidly 'heroic') Greater God, and easily reskinnable as Kord in PoLand and as the Strength or War domain in other settings.

are these new domains seriously called "(god's name) domain" or did something get lost in translation here. isn't that why deities have domains so that they can share portfolios and so we don't have to make a separate divine feature for each god? I would rather see an arcana domain than a Corelon domain. a moon domain rather than a selune domain. It just seems odd that they would make it that way.

I think this is part of the "new direction moving forward" or whatever they call it. The "old" 4e paradigm was "everything is core", so things were designed to be usable in any setting, with specific flavour being added by individual DMs and players. The Sun domain in DP could be taken by a Pelorite cleric in PoLand, a cleric of Amaunator in FR, a cleric of Dol Arrah or the Path of Light in Eberron, or a cleric of Vahishtar or the Bull of Heaven in my homebrew settings. Now, it seems everything has to be "mechanics dictated by flavour", so we're seeing domains for specific gods in specific settings, with the implication being that adapting them to other settings requires DM approval. I don't like it. Not one bit.

Richard Baker has been seen to say that the FR  Bane and tje core Bane are not neccessarily the same deity.

so as for as Corellon LArethian is concerned, no likely have to be the same

Sune, Moradin, Tempus, as the other three hopefully, that way those that worship thier exarchs will be able to join as well.

Sune

A warpriest of a goddess of love just seems really wrong to me. Sune's followers would be more likely to be pacifist clerics or charisma paladins, IMO. I suppose a 'Sune' domain could emphasise the more protective elements of her portfolio, rather than trying to turn the concept of 'love and beauty' into a bunch of attack powers, but that concept would work much better for Torm or Moradin.

Well, I got two out of three right.

So, we've got, effectively, a Skill domain (Corellon), a Justice/Protection domain (Torm), a Moon domain (Selune) and a Knowledge domain (Oghma). That means, for the core PoLand deities, Corellon (duh!), Bahamut, Sehanine and Ioun now have suitable warpriest domains. Cool.

In the book it lists Tempest's domain as Champion in the Faerun diety list. Any clue where that domain is? Or is it a misprint?

It was my screwup in the first place, so don't feel too bad about it. The cat's well out of the bag by now anyway. Especially since Kahluah's done the very same thing...

'Buying a pig in a poke' and 'let the cat out of the bag' are references to the same swindle of offering to sell a black-market pig (presumably a really small one) in a bag sight unseen, (because it's actually a cat in the bag).  I can't recall the period in history when it was done at the moment...

I vaguely recalling hearing at one point in high school that the Romans had a method of execution where they would put a person and animals(possibly including cats) in a bag and then throw the bag into a river.....

Tempus. -- And, yes, there's a list that connects a handful of the major deities of the Realms with already defined Warpriest Domains.

Tempus is listed at the end, associated with a "Conquest" Domain.

The other four would not be hard to guess, earth Chantea, Sun Amunator, storm Grumish/ Talos, Death Kelmover. I was hoping that the list would the domains for the rest of the Pantheon, but that will probably come in the winter in DDI. Is worshipping the right deity a prequisite to use a warpriest domain?

There's thirteen listed; Amunator and Kelemvor being among them (Sun and Death respectively).

Not AFAIK. There's certainly no rule in HotFL restricting Warpriest domains to the 'correct' deity. Last time I checked, though (which was before the most recent update), the OCB wouldn't let you choose a deity that doesn't have your Warpriest domain as one of his/her official domains. Which, amusingly, makes the iconic Warpriest (Falon, a Sun Warpriest of Erathis) illegal/impossible to build in the OCB.

In the neverwinter book it says any cleric can take the powers.

Worshipers of Gond WonderBringer use the Ohgma domain.

A Cleric(Templar) may take any of the Oghma Domain powers that have a level associated with them, correct.

Worshipers of Gond WonderBringer use the Oghma Domain because Gond WonderBringer is an associated diety who shares much of the same portfolio and spheres of influence.

Yes. He's in Heroes of the Fallen Lands, as well as having being featured in other artwork since then, and appearing in at least one novel (and mentioned in at least one more).

The novels are my one area of lapse, admittedly. -- I need some official hours added to my day in order to keep up!
