New Classes in Which Publications?

Jan 02, 2009 9:34:16 I'm trying to wrap my poor old brain around in which books all the new classes are going to appear. I'm sure the information is scattered among the many various threads, but it would be helpful to have a central list of what new classes are confirmed and which will appear in PHB2, some "Power" book, or DRAGON.

From the other threads, these are the classes that I think are officially confirmed and should be available in some future product...can anybody confirm the specifics?

Barbarian -Primal [striker?]
Bard - Arcane [leader?]
Druid - Primal [something?]
Invoker - [???]
Sorcerer - Arcane [controller?]

Here we go-

Forgotten Realms Player's Guide
Swordmage: Arcane Defender

Player's Handbook II
-Arcane-
Bard: Leader
Sorcerer: Controller

-Divine-
Avenger: (Rumored Striker)
Invoker: Controller

-Primal-
Barbarian: Striker
Druid: Controller
Shaman: (Rumored Leader)
Warden: (Rumored Defender)

Eberron Player's Guide
Artificer: Arcane Leader

The FRPG with the Swordmage is already out, we will have to wait until later this year for the other classes to hit the shelves. As it stands now, those are the only classes that we have any really good idea of what they are. Any other class/role/powersource you might see is, AFAIK, pure (sometimes hopeful) speculation.
