is so, what book?

if not, have they announced a book that will come out later that they will be in?

The Manual of the Planes covers the Nine Hells. There is one Archdevil, Dispater, who is stated up. There are also several new "regular" devils. Mostly, though, it is just a few paragraphs on each layer.

(The Abyss, and demons, similar treatment.)

I think you mean Baphomet, but this one was a Demon (which is curious, as "real world" baphomet should had been a devil, being the one that tempted templars)

Isn't it more that Anton LeVey styled himself to look like contemporary images of the devil?

It's a chicken or the egg question now.

By the way IIRC there's a bunch of fluff on Levistus, one of the Archdevils, in Worlds and Monsters if you're interested. No stats though obviously, since it was one of the preview books.

Not a bad idea since, unlike MotP, the book on devils would be for DMs only while MotP straddles the DM-player divide offering Paths and magic and a new race (mostly).

And it's more in line with the 4e philosophy of book design: why put info in 1 book when you can put it in 2 or 3?
