| #1NydeJun 11, 2009 7:02:46 | I was wondering why there are no new D&D Miniature Product updates? The D&D Products section doesn't show any new sets until August and nothing beyond that. The section hasn't been updated in a long time. I thought there was a set with 1 visible Huge(Green Dragon hehe) miniature coming soon. There have been very few product updates recently. |

| #4joydyheeJun 11, 2009 8:38:05 | That is true, but the products referenced are the new versions are are still called D&D Minis, so I think it is safe to assume that this is what is meant. If not, please correct me and see the above responses. In general, the products page has been slow to update since 4th ed came out. This has been one of my biggest complaints about that section. Customer Service has told me they would present this issue to the powers that be, but nothing ever came of it. It is sad when we can go to several DDM spoiler sites, ENWorld, or even Amazon and find out more info about future products than on WotC's own Web site. Check out EnigmaShock's sticky thread here for what seems to be the most current collection-style catalog. Many of the pics are from other sites, unfortunately; I think that WotC should get their act together and have this stuff posted on their site! |
| #5alphasquirellJun 11, 2009 8:51:45 | They've always been kinda slow to post stuff. I don't know about the minis specifically, but if I want to look at new D&D books, I check Amazon before I come here. They'll have books and the month they come out long before they are even confirmed as existing here. I would agree that they need to update things sooner. And in no circumstances should something be released and not appear on the products page. (for minis, it would be nice if around release we got a gallery, too; I don't own any D&D minis, but that doesn't stop me from browsing the galleries to see if there's anything I ought to consider grabbing for my game) |

Prior to that their are usually several preview articles, that picture 3-5 minis each. For the most recent set all 40 minis were fully previewed prior to set release. On a semi-related note, the SWM galleries are entirely different matter. It can be months before a set gets added, but these galleries double as a searchable database. |

| #8NydeJun 11, 2009 19:52:15 | Yes this is what I meant. So have they dropped the miniature game? Why are they not making mini's for it anymore? Or are they just not printing the cards? Yes, perhaps WoTC has experienced layoffs due to the recession and thus the web site is suffering because of it. It seems like D&DI is receiving 90% of the attention. Also, they are advertising that if people join D&DI they will get to play the revenant race. I am a D&D Insider and I see nowhere that we have access to this race. Nor any mention of it other than the ad. ![]() |

Just like tattoos brother. lol I have spent thousands on them, no joke, and I do not regret it. They have enhanced our gaming experience so much that it has been well worth it. Wow I love those spoiler sites. The Legendary evil looks like it is going to offer a lot of what I have been wanting. I hope the chrom Dragon is a huge green. Also it's great to see a huge Hydra. |

You need to look at the Calendar. Revenants come out on the 15th. |

Or are they just not printing the cards? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but they dropped the minis game months ago, most people were interested in the RPG not the TTG. So, now the minis are geared to the role players, but someone is making stat cards for the new minis, WOTC is just not supporting it directly (tournaments and such). |

Here is the official DDM support site, maintained with WotC's blessing, just not their involvement. Their purpose is to keep the mini's game alive and produce rules for the new minis as they come out. |

This is old news (D&D Miniatures Changes Explained) Also, they are advertising that if people join D&DI they will get to play the revenant race. I am a D&D Insider and I see nowhere that we have access to this race. Nor any mention of it other than the ad. As an insider you should probably read Ampersand (Debut and Exclusive Content). You should also pay attention to the editorial calender, playing revenants is scheduled to go live on the 15th. |

The only bad news for me is that I hope this doesn't decrease the demand for miniatures. On the other hand it's great to have double sided stat cards for RPG. |
