The new ampersand article confirms that we are getting a gargantuan Orcus miniature, and it looks sweet. It's limited edition but I definately want one.

I saw the pic, and thought to myself, "Hell Yes!"

WotC aren't just abandoning players who want to have that final confrontation with the Demon Prince of the Undead!

I mean, they made him the final villain of the E series of published modules, it would be crazy not to make him, even if it's so costly to make and expensive to sell that not very many would be bought.

I don't see a link anywhere that says Ampersand.  Which article/where is it?

I wish people would put links for anything they refer too like this

Ok cool..thanks...friends send me the pic.

It looks like the one shown 2 years ago at gen con or something.  Or was it 1 year?

I think with a bit of mod work, it would look awesome (and a new paint job) but probably get it for sure :D

That or sculpt my own :P

Yeah amazing piece it will be. My buddy saw it at Gen Con and was wishing to see it produced eventually. There it is !   He run the whole H-P-E Series and that big dude is closing the final we know. He had only a quite smaller version of Orcus. Now Wizard bring that togheter.

And a nice piece to go next to his Colossal Red Dragon !!!! LOL

Well, the first shop (that I am aware of) that already lists Orcus' is charging €99 ($137). Sorry, as much as I would like the mini, I am not paying more than €40 for it

!!!! that's crazy.

You can get some much nicer, Forgeworld models for less than that. (their smaller pieces that is)

(and it's sad when something of lesser quality is costing more than a Forgeworld model)...

Especially when plenty of people think that Forgeworld models already cost too much.

I find it funny for a shop to be listing a price even before WotC has announced any details about price or release date. Maybe the shop has just jumped the gun a bit.

Yes that one.

Hope Orcus final encounter isn't happening in a  room 12x12  ...LOL

Actually, Colossal Monsters don't exist anymore.  The Tarrasque is Gargantuan.

The only thing Colossal that I can put my finger on is the biggest vehicle in Adventurer's Vault.

The Orcus final encounter is indeed in a big enough room.  I think (probably won't get to run it for a few more months) that it is a great end to the campaign.  It will only be better for the PCs by having a decent Orcus piece.

I own one, and while raw stats sometimes have trouble translating to the real world, I'll give you something for comparison: Minus the wings, it's about the size of a whole cooked chicken. Taking into account the wings, closer to a turkey. Thing's big.

In fact, here's a size comparison with some of my other figures, one of each size except tiny (always lose those damn things). See that little dot by its foot? That's a kobold.

I picked this bad puppy up at Comic Con. It is absolutely gorgeous. I dont even want to take it out of the box. Will have to figure out how to use Orcus in the plannar game I am developing.

That should be pretty easy...meaning there are a lot of options to choose from.  Go to the abyss, or realize that Orcus is always up to something...
