Alright, with the ToC we can see the new racial Paragon Paths.

I know we're not likely to know all of what's in there, but we might as well try to speculate and try to figure out who goes with which PP.

What we know, from the Racial PP article giving us the Adroit Explorer.

Human - Adroit Explorer
Half Elf - N/A
Half Orc - Bloodfury Savage
Dwarf - Firstborn of Moradin
Dragonborn - Scion of Arkhosia

What we've got left
Ancestral Incarnate
Fey Beguiler
Halfling Scoundrel
Moonstalker
Shiere Knight
Stoneblessed
Turathi Highborn
Twilight Guardian

What seems obvious
Ancestral Incarnate - Deva
Halfling Scoundrel - Halfling

Some of my guesses
And at first I was guessing Stoneblessed - Dwarf, but then I remembered Firstborn, so Goliath seems likely.
Fey Beguiler - Gnome

Races yet to have a known or guessed at path
Drow(?)
Eladrin
Elf
Genasi(?)
Shifter
Tiefling

Turathi Highborn is Tiefling (Bael Turath is their old empire)

Oh! I knew that there would have been a connection to Bael Turath, I just couldn't remember its name.

Moonstalker is possibly Shifter, what with their ties to lycanthropy.

Shiere Knight and Twilight Guardian would be left to Eladrin and Elves, and I would even venture to guess that that's respective. It at least strikes me that eladrin are slightly more knightly than elves, but who really knows?

I also believe Stoneblessed is for Goliaths and Fey Beguiler for Gnomes.

My guesses are;
Moonstalker - Shifter
Shiere Knight - Eladrin
Twilight Guardian - Elf
And I think Drow and Genasi will be covered in a later Dragon article.

Twilight Guardian is almost certainly Eladrin, judging by the MM.

It's almost certainly going to be:

Adroit Explorer - Human
Bloodfury Savage - Half-Orc
Firstborn of Moradin - Dwarf
Scion of Arkhosia - Dragonborn
Ancestral Incarnate - Deva
Fey Beguiler - Gnome
Halfling Scoundrel - Halfling
Moonstalker - Shifter
Shiere Knight - Elf
Stoneblessed - Goliath
Turathi Highborn - Tiefling
Twilight Guardian - Eladrin

There's already 1 Drow and 3 Genasi PPs in the FRPG alone (and 1 more Drow in Dragon 367), so I agree they will likely be left out of PH 2.

My guesses:

Adroit Explorer: Human.
Ancestral Incarnate: Deva.
Bloodfury Savage: Half-Orc.
Fey Beguiler: Gnome.
Firstborn of Moradin: Dwarf.
Halfling Scoundrel: Do I even need to say it?
Moonstalker: Shifter.
Scion of Arkhosia: Dragonborn.
Shiere Knight: Eladrin*.
Stoneblessed: Goliath.
Turathi Highborn: Tiefling.
Twilight Guardian: Elf*.

*-- these two might be interchangable.

Adroit Explorer: Human.
Ancestral Incarnate: Deva.
Bloodfury Savage: Half-Orc.
Fey Beguiler: Gnome.
Firstborn of Moradin: Dwarf.
Halfling Scoundrel: Do I even need to say it?
Moonstalker: Shifter.
Scion of Arkhosia: Dragonborn.
Shiere Knight: Eladrin*.
Stoneblessed: Goliath.
Turathi Highborn: Tiefling.
Twilight Guardian: Elf*.

That list'll do me. The shiere was a type of the original eladrin monster from 2e/3e, so I'd say eladrin for the shiere knight.

Twilight guardian has to be elf, because eladrin don't care how dark it is outside while they're shacked up in their ivory towers.

Shiere are definitely eladrin as per the MM. Like the Ghaele and Bralani, Shiere were eladrin in previous editions (specifically knights and defenders of the courts and strongest of the lesser eladrin).

Indeed, that argument convinces me. I wonder if this means we can expect Ghaele and Bralani Paragon Paths in the future, maybe in an Ecology of the Eladrin article in Dragon.

at first i thought that shiere was pronounced she-ehr, but now i wondered whether it is supposed to be pronounced like The Shire.

could anyone clarify this?

I don't remember if the old Planescape pronunciation CD had eladrin subraces tbh. Certainly no entry of pronunciation on the Planescape II MC. I always pronounced both these and the noviere and coure with a vocal e at the end (in contrast to the firre which are Feer by official sources).

I'm pretty sure the Shiere were always pronounced as "Sheer" ever since they were first introduced in the Planescape Monstrous Compendium 2. But I can't remember if they were included in the pronunciation guide or where the guide can be found now.

At least it's good to see that the Shiere are back in one form or another, as monsters they previously had the problem of not having many strongly themed powers like the Bralani (wind) or the Firre (fire). But maybe as a paragon path, that'll change.

Ya, the FRPG gave us the hint at Racial Paragon paths, they're just giving everyone else more of the fun.

And Half-Elves are probably getting access to both Human and Elven paragons since they don't have a specific one, otherwise they're getting screwed.

They can take something called the Versatile Mastery feat. They don't get Racial Paragon Path.

Are we reading the same MM, or did everyone but me gloss over the Eladrin Twilight Incanter? The whole Eladrin/Feywild thing has a lot of twilight referencing.

Not saying it's a lock, but it's a lot more likely than everyone's giving credit.

I think that the Knight bit is the sticking point. If the PP's were Twilight Knight and Shirre Guardian then I think that we would have associated them with eladrin and elf, respectively. The elf fluff doesn't lend itself well to the idea of a knight, but the eladrin fluff does.

remember that we got a few racial stuffs in martial power. Dwarven defender, halfing bounder, inner dragon, tiefling warfiend, blade banshee, hellborn shadow, sylvan archer, dread fang, halfling quickblade, tiefling hellstalker, concordant leader, spiral tactician.

i too expect drow and genasi to get no pp in phb 2.

Actually I believe that the sticking point should be "Shirre", as they were apparently a type of Eladrin just like Ghaele and Bralani which are still classified as such in the Monster Manual.

Something strange occured to me, it's not going to happen probably, but it would be a cool surprise: Shiere Knight, Twilight Guardian, and Fey Beguiler available interchangeably for Gnomes, Elves and Eladrins, the fey. It would make people complain gnomes are too elvish, so it's not going to happen. But maybe having both Shiere Knight and Twilight Guardian available for both elves and eladrins could be possible.

I'm very excited by what this "Versatile Master" feat could mean for Half-elves. Must be something powerful, like a true TRI-CLASS via modified PMC and link with the power chosen at first level.

Turathi Highborn - Tiefling
Twilight Guardian - Elf or maybe Drow

The whole idea of a PP that's available to multiple Races based on origin, while cool, negates the entire selling point that these are the "racial capstone" Paragon Paths. That's what they're telling us these are, not just some random PP for the race but the PP that makes you the most Dwarvish Dwarf you can be (substituting appropriate race instead of Dwarf as you see fit.)

Seems like half-elves don't get much of anything cool. Maybe that will change with phb2.
