Oct 22, 2008 6:42:52 I have receibed my P1 Adventure module today. Opening the shrinkwarp, i discovered that the folder contained Adventure Book 1 twice and Adventure book 2 was nowhere to be found. I have contacted my gaming store, who takes it back and will send me another one - hopefully one with the right books.

Please dear wotC if possibly and manageable, pay attention to what you are selling or at least take a look at what companies producing books for you are doing.

Oct 23, 2008 21:53:03 Realize that flukes like that happen occasionally in all kinds of manufacturing. Yes, it's unfortunate, but it's kind of unavoidable.

Oct 23, 2008 22:13:34 These mistakes do happen and the vast majority of companies take responsibilty because when you return it to your gaming store they return it to the company for their own refund.

Ahahahahahahaha... oh god. It's obvious that you are no longer WotC's target audience: you know, people who like games who have all their advertised parts. This must be a new trend of the soon-to-be-released 5th edition, where you will have to buy hundreds of books, just to get one that has chapters 1 through 5 in that order!

Oct 26, 2008 1:08:36 Man, I stopped ordering White Wolf books through my FLGS, because every single time it had a misprint. Oddly, if I ordered them myself it never happened.

But this kind of thing happens, and is unavoidable. They have quality assurance to make sure that it isn't whole shipments, just the occasional odd book that gets shipped without all the pages.

What bugs me is the consistently poor editing standards in these products! There's too many typographic and formatting errors* that would have been noticed if anyone had given the final product a read-through. WotC either needs to hire more editors, or better ones.

So, I'm in: WotC, "Please pay attention to what you are selling!"

*It's worth noting that I am NOT referring to rules/playtesting issues. I like rules updates! They make me confident that I'm playing a well-thought-out game. What I don't like is a book which was lazily edited, referring me to page "(xx)", and with misaligned tables, obvious spelling and word-order mistakes, and clearly inconsistent visual formatting. (Adventurer's Vault, I'm looking at you!)
