According to EnigmaShock, we're getting cards of all of the Player's Handbook powers on 17 March, Martial Power powers on 19 May, and Player's Handbook 2 powers on 18 August. Hope that helps!

If you mean the ones that cost $57-80 (depending on where you look) that's a whole display case full of card packs.

#12 Dragon9 Jan 09, 2009 8:47:08	The pack of cards for each class is $9.99. So to get every class in the PHB you'll pay $80. i don't mind spending money... but for something like this, why pay when i make my own? :P Or I can just have the Character Builder make them for me. (but I like mine better)

#14 _Mithreinmaethor_ Jan 09, 2009 8:55:42	Well just looking at the Ranger there are 75 powers + 13 PP powers = 88 cards. My son plays Pokemon and buying a 60 card deck costs $14.99. So at $9.99 for an almost 90 card deck seems to be pretty cheap to me.

Whether or not these cards will actually be worth it remains to be seen, especially when the Character Builder program promises to be able to print off equally-official cards for your character.

There is no telling how the power cards will handle additional powers like the ones presented in Martal Power and soon Arcane Power, if at all. So that would mean you'll have a bunch of shiny power cards that look very good, and a few that are printed out because you shelled out $80 yet are missing half of your powers. The Character Builder will at least be updated year round so you'll always have the latest power cards ready to be printed out. And if you are looking for quality, just get a bunch of sheets of heavy paper and print them on that, put a card sleeve around them and you're done.

#20 Samrin Jan 11, 2009 7:39:26	The character builder prints out power cards for the powers you choose. Seems like a huge waste of money to spend that much on cards.

But still it would be a lot of money to get them for every class, money I am not willing to shell out if I can make them myself. Sure, if I'd print every card in high quality myself it would all become fairly expensive, but as was already said, you only need a few power cards per character. You either need to be a very avid D&D player or you need to die a lot to get use out of all the cards, even if you have a full gaming group.

The official cards would need to be incredibly overwhelming before I would merely start considering buying them. If they are anything like the ugly bulky cards currently produced by the character builder I won't touch them with a 2-squares-pole.
